After reading the pdf, a fool you or fool me, writing from Mark Twain I figured anyone could of edited it, for folly's sake, and to dare any reader to prove or deny they are truly Samuel Clemen's words, well, I almost got a chuckle. Since he would have had to use the name on his birth certificate in the event he truly did plan to run for President I doubt it wasn't another farce used, possibly edited, for new readers who would not know anything about the real Samuel Clemens. Check your knotted rope for depth when you think of Mark Twain, so, your paddle wheel boat doesn't get stuck on any of the shifting sands of the Mississippi River bed.

I recommend, "Will Rodgers" if you would like some more humor on the subject of politics and politicians.

Omg I never thought about that , Mark Twain is not his real name , he would have had to show a birth certificate , thats just so rich . Lol 19th century wit is just beating me up side the head.

I've been doing my best to discover which candidate isn't experienced in raising their own children. Also seeking to find the ones who have had a hand in actually doing the honors of raising their children. Another type would be the candidate who has children and gave the care of their children up to a nanny as soon as they were weaned from their mother.

Of the candidates which knows the family traits best. I figure that would be my choice to vote for. If none of them has that family orientation that the general public needs then I think it is time to debate which of them is the worst liar a child would recognize is a lousy parenting figure.

If we don't have a candidate who can convince their own children they are good enough to resolve issues at home I sense we won't last as country with the common sense it takes to survive the every impending gloom a working person would not be able to save them self from.

So; in your opinions, who is the better parent in the line up of candidates?

I'm not sure that isn't another debate in and of itself. I also don't think I can judge what kind of parent these folks actually are without knowing them personally. Anything we know about their interaction with their children would be from the kids, the candidate or hearsay. All three being suspect in my mind.

And I do not think someone that maybe is a great parent has the skills to be a president. In fact, depending on what you may think is a good parent would make them a terrible president.

Also Pagafyr, I got a bit confused with your other post. Do you think that was not something Twain wrote?

My Mom force fed me on Twains works when she was trying to assist me while I was going through my bewilder years. I don't recognize the sense I got in it from his way of writing.

As for starting to debate the issue of being a qualified parent the working class would benefit from; I think it is time to debate whether any of candidates is even recognizable by the parents of the various life styles.

The last census I saw gave me the feeling that mens votes don't add up again to even match the number of women voters. That fact brings the memory back on why Ms. Clinton did not win the last time she ran.

I promise you it is Twain's work. He wrote it in the New York Evening Post in June 9, 1879 as a satirical piece. My daughter read it last week in her Advanced Placement Government class.
