Getting wet while inside of my house during the rain

Rain occlusion blocks the rain from going through roofs, that's correct.

Wetness makes the outside world glossy and wet, that's also correct.

But places that block the rain, even without roof being swiss-cheese, still get wet shader on them even tho rain is not getting there.

This. Exactly this.

Yes, it shouldn't be that hard to add both feature and make the game dry you while inside... In another news, even with rain occlusion, if you have a power armor on, there will still be rain droplets flowing on the visor in first person as if you were standing in the rain. This will probably be patched sometime, an oversight I guess.

Since rain is not a screen shader like in Skyrim, I hope we'll see the return of "real shelter" mod from Skyrim, but luckily without so much extensive manual editing of the shelters. If a game with a previous version of the same engine was modded to do that a couple years ago, we will most certainly see it come back soon enough.

I know it's nitpicking but I am really annoyed by this too. Especially excessive amounts of dust blowing through almost completely sealed buildings.

Bethesda (I thought about this before) should hook up with R* Games. GTAV has proper rain occlusion, wetness shaders not wetting interiors, puddles forming (instead of permanent puddles like in FO4), you name it.

Not only weather effects but lots of other things.

For real, they could learn a lot when it comes to details.

Expect beth are 100x better with details, just not weather.

Anyhow, doing that to a beth world just seems heavy. We have to take in mind that it just so different in makeup. While other game have already taken up npcs that have auto ai path years ago, beth games don't for a reason.

They also have to take in mind system load, maybe they could do something like it. But it needs a really strong rig when it applied to their game engine?

Rain I don't mind, it's taking shelter from the radstorms. I hate those things.

Right now it's either get into another cell (interior), or hop into my PA.

No fun taking a nap, then waking up and not needing to turn the lights on

because I'm providing my own. :P
