Unfair enemy spawning really gets my goat

I am playing a sneaky sniper character and while on the roof of Layton Towers I thought I had cleared the outside area and went to loot a body when a raider and his dog attacked me from behind. Not ready for this they killed me (how many bullets can any one dog take btw? That's another story). I was a bit put out because I thought I had been really careful in clearing the area. I reloaded the save and the same thing happened again, attacked by a raider and his dog.... strange.

Reloaded again and kept checking behind me and lo and behold the guy and his dog were just spawning out of nowhere as soon as I crossed a certain point. Oh ffs what is this s***?

It happens every single time I reload that save. Frankly I don't think this gameplay "mechanic" is fair, especially on sneaky characters.

Does anyone know of a mod that removes this "feature"?

The only Bethesda officially approved playstyle is power armour and a big gun. You've only got yourself to blame trying to do something the game wasn't designed to accommodate. Next you'll be wanting to roll an unarmed specialist or something equally ridiculous.

Seriously though. There's a lot of 'disabled' (I mean that in a geck sense) enemies in the game that are enabled when you step inside trigger boxes (presumably, but until we actually get the CK it's hard to be sure). Some of them are even keyed to home in on the PC even if you are fully stealthed and hidden. There are also lots that appear when you loot certain containers. It's very annoying and a little unfair if you're a stealthy glass cannon.

Example:

Wildwood cemetery where you approach a chem box and a raider appears out of thin air. There are many more like that.

Now I have definitely had quite a few creatures spawn when opening containers or otherwise interacting with something. The most recent was a Deathclaw Matriarch spawning on top of a building when I opened a suitcase. There was NO WAY I missed her, she popped up out of nowhere. But, my stealth was high enough that I only had a "caution" and still got 3x sneak attack on her with my gauss so I still one shot her to the head.

It's the same clown car mechanic you see in FPS games. Fortunately it's not quite as bad here and mostly limited to ghouls and mirelurks (hate those egg piles), but it does completely screw up stealth play.

No... The total BS spawning thing that has me annoyed is related to a pair of NPCs which spawn randomly as an event and start shooting at eachother. The problem is that both of them immediately cause any companions you're with to have "xxx disliked that" prompts just because you're in the vicinity. Killing them just makes them respawn somewhere else. Trying to start their little dialogue just makes them both shoot you, resulting in killing them and them just respawning somewhere else. Even editing them with console or FO4Edit doesn't solve the problem.

Was that before or after you changed your pants?

I've still not encountered the fabled chameleon deathclaw yet. That will be a moment to treasure I'm sure.

I have...saw him coming but that one definitely made me #2 myself.

He was in the glowing sea area

Well then I must be amazing because I don't use power armor or big guns and I play a stealth character and I'm doing great... so great in fact that I'm thinking of switching to a power armor/non-stealth playstyle just so the game is less of a cake walk.

I've used PA twice...both times for the rad resist. Absolutely not required for combat....if you're clever and sneaky enough.

I was also put out at first at what appeared to be enemies popping out of nowhere....then I started paying closer attention. Ghouls and molerats do NOT simply spawn out of thin air. It is possible to get the drop on them if you look closely at your surroundings. Haven't confirmed that radscorps and other mutant nasties work the same way but I suspect they do.

One particularly nasty shock was exiting a building that was completely peaceful when I went in only to find myself facing a small army of synths when I exited. I cried a lot but I figured 'well, you can never be sure what's going on outside while you're in a building'.
