Not out of concern for my passwords (they're not likely to be cracked) but for this site and its community. Furthermore, your honesty has been greatly appreciated. Still, I'd like to know how I can follow updates on the results of the dsound.dll issue, as I did obtain that through one of the F4 mods. While I immediately removed the files and ran scans, as stated in the recent posts, that doesn't count for much at the moment.I'd love to know which mod you got the file from. Konraden
I'd love to hear about what HP's Security Research team finds about that rogue library. Can you keep us informed on that too?
Puff3r
Thank you for the follow up post. Nice to have information after the fact when so many companies/sites just cover it up.
jet4571
Heres a quick way to make very hard to crack passwords. Create a new text document and open it. Now randomly mash keys on your keyboard so you get something like dj5vp7;jQE:2ljwer1halk/jb9hl;sfj There's your new hard to crack password. shaikujin
Just wanted to say what others have already said, the forthright manner in which you released the info served to gain my trust rather than lose it. Esp with the technical portion, that way we can analyze the risks ourselves. Much appreciated!
