RS13
Maybe I missed it, but I'm pretty sure there's no good reason why only you survive Vault 111. So why not mod the others back to life? They could be your new followers, quest givers and the first members of your new settlement. I'm sure this would be a lot of work, but I think it has potential. Basil456
Reading the terminals in the Cryogenic Pod rooms tells you that the life support units failed on everyone's pods (except your spouses and yours) and they died from it. But yes I agree that having more life in Vault 111 would be a good idea. Edited December 13, 2015 by Basil456
RS13
Yeah, I recall that, but there's no reason for *that*. (Except, I guess to give you a cool nickname like the "lone survivor" so people can refer back to the PC in FO4 as something other than "the PC in FO4".) RyukanoHi
I figured that whatever caused the life support failure was clearly related to the kidnappers tapping into the system to get at Shaun (and sort of the Sole Survivor) and not caring what happened to the other 'Vault Dwellers' as a side effect. SirTwist
I think that one of two things could happen for vault 111. Either all the other inhabitants can't be, easily, revived, and thus saved; or that they can be revived, but based on your hacking ability, and medical ability. You might be able to hack into, and even open the pods, but if you don't have medical ability to go further, then they can die, or you could try and put them back in the pod. nekollx
this is a bit spoilerly but when you go to the Memory Den and relive Kelong's meories you learn one of the scietists with him while trying to get Shaun caused a cascade of failures of all the other life pods, Kelogg even admonishes him for it, but yeah while they may have died in game i could totally see if you have like int 7 and medic 4 you could revive them, hell the USS Constitution has a quest you can bypass to fix the ship by reparing/jerry rigging the wires if you have a int of 7 so the idea of fixing stuff isn't lore friendly just do something like require nuclear scientist 1 (since it is advanced Vault-Teck) to open the pods and like medic 2 to revive a person with a chance to fail reduced by having a higher medic). Course this would require new voices for the corpses and hey maybe we can revive our own spouses (and there should be more then enough voiced dialong to cobble together a ai package for them)
wendera
Well, this cascade failure was caused 60 years before the Sole Survivor wakes up and the rest of the people were never re-frozen and they suffocated. So, reviving them seems impossible. Although, their bodies are fairly well preserved.
Fulcon
I figured that whatever caused the life support failure was clearly related to the kidnappers tapping into the system to get at Shaun (and sort of the Sole Survivor) and not caring what happened to the other 'Vault Dwellers' as a side effect. During the quest 'Dangerous Minds', Kellogg wonders why the Institute didn't simply refreeze everyone else, but didn't speak up about it. So the institute, sixty years ago, is the reason everyone is dead in Vault 111. I think additional survivors might be cool, though. If done correctly. Lee5Lee
Yeah, I recall that, but there's no reason for *that*. (Except, I guess to give you a cool nickname like the "lone survivor" so people can refer back to the PC in FO4 as something other than "the PC in FO4".) Yeah, only one reason I see, too. "Undamaged genetical material" is an extremely rare thing in Commonwealth, so, logically, Institute should fight like hell for each of 111 dwellers... I hope, this mod will come out! hey maybe we can revive our own spouses (and there should be more then enough voiced dialong to cobble together a ai package for them) My golden dream for FO4 is a mod, where Kellog's shot is unfatal, and you can help your spouse survive and have him/her as a companion ^O^ There are so many voice lines for that!!!
