And yeah, you can train a cow to be ridden, they're just much slower and not as athletic as horses.

I know they can be ridden, but I had no idea they can be trained.

 

 

So is it specifically written in the lore somewhere that horses are wiped out? Seems so unlikely that cows made it but horses, donkeys, mules, camels, etc didn't.

I think it something the writers did to excuse why horses are not in the game since it normal people will use them heavily since there is no cars for one reason or another.

Why would you need to ride a brahmin, plenty of prewar vehicles to attach them to like a wagon.

 

Well it does seem far more possible to just get an old car or motorcycle running...if there are prewar power armor suits sitting around that run just fine with a fusion core, then the same is most likely possible with a motorcycle that isn't completely destroyed. But, since that hasn't been offered as a possibility yet, I was just thinking along the lines of what survivors would be doing otherwise.

 

 

Heck for that matter, the Enclave successfully controlled Deathclaws. Get yourself a wagon and a team of those things pulling you along and you'll haul ass across the wasteland :laugh:

Lots of Laughs (that's LOL for those of you who don't know). Bash or love as is you feel need. Personally, I'm on the love-side. I've enjoyed every single minute I've played this game. Seriously. There simply is no other game than can compare to what F4 does.

 

I'm exploring the F4 world. I have been since the release day. I am now level twenty and haven't even scratched the surface of the main quest. I play for a couple hours every night. Plus... I've been able to mod the game to how I like to play. When the Geck comes out it'll only get better.

 

I am simply having a great time playing a great game.

 

Compared with Skyrim? I enjoyed that game as well. I've actually got the preorder map framed on my bedroom wall.

 

"Realism" in either? My gosh, seriously? Anyone who cares could list a hundred different things in any game there is that is not "realistic". That once kind of boggles the mind.

 

Regardless, I'm having a darn good time in Fallout 4. If I'm not mistaken, that's what it's all about. LOL.

As for horses or cars in FO4, I think some kind of mounted animal makes total sense, and I think people absolutely would be riding horses, or whatever became of horses. If there are brahmin, there are horses.

They were wiped out.

 

And no, not all animals are fit to be mounted. For one, some think it would be cool to mount big dogs, but their backs weaker then horses, there is also handling, balancing, and more. Can you tell a brahmin to left, right, stop or jump?

 

 

Cows can be ridden, I don't see why Brahmin can't.

 

You know, you can just play the game turn based by now, if shooters aren't your thing. I know there is at least one mod that turns off the VATS damage reduction and gives you like 100 AP per second regeneration, because I made it :tongue:

Wauw, a level 20 that hasn't even finished anything, how can you even have a full opinion of the game then?

Like I said, for me personally it was fun up until level 40, after that it got bored real quick and the pleasure I got from the game dropped like a brick.

 

Main quest is too short, side quests are are lacking and not enough of them, misc quests repeat themselves way too often, and everything is just shoot shoot shoot!

 

But we are all entitled to our own opinion, I made up mine and in the future I have to be more careful not to give in to nonsense hyped up things.

I personally spent the time exploring the map and uncovering all the map markers. So I just run and hardly shoot. You have to see may face when I found out that some places don't have markers. Having to start over to uncover place more proper.

 

I think what made the game more fun to me is doing a full time power armor run(I made my PC spineless). It sometimes made things comical. I was stuck out in the no where with a broken PA and an empty core one time. It a nightmare.

I know I made this thread to complainabout how FO4 is less than Skyrim, a thing noone really disputes, even if they actually like this mountainof garbage. But even still,I thought Ebthesda made another Far Cry game,a game I'm not really interested in. Then I saw game footage of Far Cry and I got even more upset because Far Cry is a much better game gameplay wise than Fallout 4. It's more interesting, more mechanical options. And then....well they published Dishonered and didn't think hey! Corvo's choking a b&@*$ mechanic should be something in a Fallout game. Don't get me wrong, I'm hoping that a Dishonered modgets made with all the cool Outsider powers, but what I'd actually like gameplay wise is the ability to climb things and sneak up and choke people. And unlike Intimidation, actually get XP for doing the non-lethal thing.

This POS is thoughtless,ugly and lazy: it's a poor man's Far Cry, It's a poor man's Mass Effect without the Renegade options, it's a poor man's Last of Us without the beatuty or wonder, or character building, it's a poor man's Skyrim without the love and attention, it's not an RPG at all,it actively punishes you if you try to be a pacifist, and the settlement building is a compltete,pointless waste of time that Bethesda threw inas anexcuse not to build actual settlements,withactual characters. I got be be an actual Wasteland Elder in Banner Saga, with the settlements you're just Wasteland architecht.

Yeah, I wish I could get back my 90 bucks and buy Wasteland 2 instead. It's one of the worst game buys I've ever made. It's like the star warsprequels: it's a good story in the abstract, in the summary, but a painful thing to see in detail.
