Groogo Posted January 30, 2016 Share Posted January 30, 2016 (edited) First time I went in there I ran right up to the leader before they could even say hold it. They spazzed out and started shooting. Could be as simple as that. Load a prior save and stop a few feet back to talk to them Earlier I fought my way past them and worked the code wheel, opened the door and entered the greeting area. D had a green chat symbol above her head and everyone else in the room was red and began firing. I ran up and tried to chat with D and she backed off, became hostile and joined in with the rest of the crew firing on me. So now I have loaded an earlier save and went and took care of Kellogg and then watched the Prydwyn sail by. I made my way back to the railroad and the agents upstairs and the agents downstairs in the tunnels are still showing hostile to me. I guess I will try clearing the tunnels downstairs so I can work the code wheel, enter the railroad's main area and see if I can get a dialogue started with D. ~shrug~ Edited January 30, 2016 by Groogo Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

When I entered the church the Railroad agents occupying the upstairs and downstairs hallways were red to me. I crept downstairs and fought the Agents in the hallway as I made my way to the code wheel. I opened the door and entered God Mode. D and Deacon were green to me but they were surrounded by hostile guards who began firing on me. I was able to open a chat dialogue with D (being shot the whole time was annoying) and during the conversation Deacon vouched for me because I had taken out Kellogg. I received the first mission to meet Deacon near the highway, killed the hostile guards and left the church. I am assuming that things will be fixed after I accomplish the first mission with Deacon. robhartman9 Posted January 30, 2016 Share Posted January 30, 2016 Its definitely not supposed to work like that. there shouldn't be anything in the tunnels except ghouls until you get a quest to kill the railroad by the brotherhood or some other quest trigger. Sounds like the faction is hostile to you but not the NPC's. You could try player.addtofaction 000994f6 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I think that it is likely from mods, I play with a lot of them. I also use an extra spawn Mod. that I start out with on "lite" spawn level then about level 20 I crank it up to "medium". Which seems to work well (for me) on Survival difficulty. This could be the reason for the glitch. I just finished the first mission at the Switchboard with Deacon and returned to the railroad. Desdemona was green to me, so was the other guy Drummer Boy and Deacon. While Deacon spun his tall tale to Des. three red agents attacked me. I killed them and finished up turning in the quest, joined the railroad and entered their inner sanctum. Everyone is green inside and things are back to normal so far. If I am not wrong you could have accidentally killed some Railroad agents outside by mistake. In some fire fights, I accidentally killed my own settlers all the time. Especially when explosives are used. Thus now I dont allow anyone (companion and settlers) to use anything with area effect (Legendary mod and grenade launcher type). In fact, one of my turret in a settlement killed a named settler in the Slog all the time. I had to let that quest fail by not coming to help, to save that ghoul from dying. She is named, and she is a trader (that buy/sell). Maybe she is not important. But I don't want to regret later. You should not have seen Railroad agent prior to meeting with them in their HQ, but somehow I don't doubt, with mods and stuff, you may have some roaming around. I did a test at the begging of the game (barely out of Vault 111), I teleported to all of the potential companions (to test a face changing mod), and found Deacon with the Railroad there. However, they refused to talk to me, perhaps they require me to go through the puzzle secret door to trigger quest. But yeah, that shows by default they should not be hostile at all.
