Moraelin
That's the one. I'm still waiting for a better NifSkope to make that fine helmet
Dark0ne
The tools exist to filter out viewing these types of mods through the content blocking system if you don't like them. Ergo...what's actually the problem?

Ergo...what's actually the problem? People are concerned about the state of the community where Vagina's and Breasts are getting all the top slots in Hotfiles. Perhaps its more a discomfort with the reality that the majority of FO4 players are teenage boys looking for this generations version of porno mags. But yea, the filter tools have been mentioned specifically.

It was exactly the same for Skyrim, despite what someone said about it not being the same -- really, it was. These things come in phases. Next month it might be followers, the month after that it'll be 12k retextures of spoons, and guess what? People make the same topics as this for them, too. If you don't like it, block it and move along. Seriously. It's not hard.
Moraelin
Hell, we had at least one thread when FO3 came out, and most of what we could do was either retexture some guns or add silencers to every gun in sight (well, except Throttlekitty, who made a rapier; but the rest of us weren't as awesome as Throttlekitty) there even was a thread decrying all the guns for Fallout 3. Apparently the author thought that ballistic weapons don't even belong in a SF game. Go figure.
Athanasa
Sometimes, some of the more realistic mods end up in mature. Any mods adding extra gore or highly graphic violence into the game should be categorised as mature. A mod that adds slavers into the game should be categorised as mature. Hell, a mod adding a fully voiced and lovingly made companion that swears a lot and has a custom textured scarred naked body texture should count as mature for nudity and language. Someone else is making an awesome nude skin texture for raider females - complete with scars (bullet and knife flavours), dirt, freshly band-aided wounds and needle-tracks up their arms from chem abuse. But! I'm getting off track. My point is, Mature means more than sex mods. And honestly? Sex mods are fine. Don't ban them. My issue is with the images used for the thumbnails. It's the objectification that offends me, I guess. But if you stuck some silly censorship over the thumbnails (bottle-cap nipple tassels, anyone?) then I'd laugh at them and just move on. Keep the hardcore pussy images in the mod when you actually look at it, just keep them off the "mod icon" image. I guess I'm just weird if I find a dick censored by a photoshopped bottle of Nuka Cola funnier than an actual dick on my screen. [Also, slightly salty about vaginas and breasts being more important - according to hot files - than settlement stuff or gameplay improvements. But hey, not much we can do until we have GECK.] Edited January 1, 2016 by Athanasa
Moraelin
Athanasa, nevertheless, the tools more than exist to show your brother or whoever else a Nexus where they don't see a HD vagina. Really, you just need to turn that off. Plus, as I was saying, Google lets you bypass the front site entirely if you want to show someone a specific mod. I actually showed my boss some of my swords. At work. And never even thought I need to worry about blocking any T&A. I really don't see all this outcry for what I can only describe as a hypocrisy aid filter. You know, the "ooh, I want adult mods, but I want to appear all puritanical to whoever might see me browsing the Nexus" kind. You know, what with the leitmotif becoming conspicuously a case of 'I don't want to block adult mods, I just want them not in the top when I show someone the Nexus.' How about just being honest to your family, either way, instead of bemoaning that the rest of the world isn't just exactly fine tuned to help you maintain a facade? Or did the whole honesty to family idea go out of fashion, what with our heroes becoming more like the Arrow and stuff?
Guest deleted2588518
No need for that Moraelin. Even if its justified. All that really need be said is use the filters as they are intended. Oversights on what is shown and not shown is on the end user.
Moraelin
Well, actually I think that what REALLY needs to be said is that a lot of people have joined more than one protest (and I mean about stuff in the game too, not just the Nexus) without even bothering to check the facts first. Not going to give any name, because the purpose isn't to name and shame, but in some cases it's not as much one oversight as a pattern.
