Astralify
I don't remember them saying full year (maybe just for the consoles). They said early 2016 for the CK, and my guess is around February 12 we are gonna get a release.
JuJooGuppy
I saw a couple people earlier wanting to be able to launch Fallout 4 without worrying about it auto-updating on them. While its not perfect, there are 2 ways to do this, I currently do it as I control when I update for this reason as well.Option A) Simply unplug ethernet prior to starting fallout. When prompted, select offline mod. It wont back your saves up to the cloud, but, you wont update, either. Bonus points for not being bugged by friends online while playing :POption B) is similiar, but next time you are online, just switch it to offline mode. It wont do any updating etc in offline mode. Personally, I just remove the ethernet. It works for me. *shrug*
Namyquis
Its texture mods causing this... instead of invalidate try moving your texture folder to desktop launch the game shouldn't crash. If so u need to figure out which texture causing issue.

Of course, you could also go into BigPicture mode, then go to Library -> Fallout4 -> Manage Game . Click on "Set Update Options" . Choose "Do not Automatically update this game" from the dropdown menu . And click ok, then "back" a few times until you get to the Screen where you leave Big Picture mode . Not nearly half as smart, but is said to work also . Edited January 22, 2016 by Kastergir
mac2636
I think people are overreacting a bit on the whole mod issues with each beta patch. Though the game is being modded does'nt mean Bethesda supports it. It's very simple, as long as the official modding tools for Fallout 4 are not released yet they do not have to take modded games into account when they make a patch. The patch is meant for a vanilla FO 4 not a modded one at this point. Now they are not stupid and know there's already tons of mods out, so they probably do think about that when they make a patch and try not to screw things up, but honoustly they really do not have to at this point. It's a bit early to think they do it because they want to monopolize modding imho.Others said the same thing about the previous beta, "They're only doing it because its a beta. Everything will be fine once the patch comes out of beta." Well they were wrong then and you are wrong now. It is not because they want clean beta testing. It IS because they want more control over mods. Whether monetization is the reasoning behind them wanting more control is actually irrelevant. Allowing Bethesda increased control over mods is overall bad for modding. The lack of oversight and general freedom modding has seen up until now is the main reason it has flourished as much as it has. Bethesda is ignorant of this fact, as proven by the monetized Skyrim mods debacle. I'm all for getting money into the hands of modders (in fact I would almost guarantee that I've donated more to modders than most of, "Pay the modders!" crowd", but allowing Bethesda to control that is a disaster waiting to happen. EvelynSykes
Alright so after spending most of today uninstalling and reinstalling mods to find the wtf was making the saves crash, I found out the culprit, Fallout VI Gore Overhaul. I wasn't even using the plugin, using the textures is enough to make the game crash with the beta patch, other people in the mod comments were having the same issue as well.Keep in mind there might be other mods that cause this same issue too, hope this helps. Thanks for sharing this. Just uninstalled Gore Overhaul and game has not crashed, so far so good.
