Prophecies
No cloth physics means there's less graphical fluff that steals time and resources from writing and quest design. Not true. Those who work on writing and quest design have nothing to do with the technical gameplay elements, or the art side of things. Writers are writers. Programmers are programmers, Artists are artists. I'm pretty sure that jigglybones are possible in DX9. It all depends what kind of resources they had available early in production.
AdoringStan
You´r right lv000 and also I already mention it in another post, if you look close at 1:36/37 when the character does the fire burst spell we can see that the lower part of the rob goes up, if it´s not physics it´s something similar XD look closer and you'll find that the reason why it goes up is because that part of the outfit is stiff as a board. it's the same effect as taping a long piece of cardboard to your back and bending down. I was seriously looking forward to cloth physics too. Actually.... if you look at the back of the robe, it doesn't move with the leg... even if there Aren't clothing physics, maybe the robes/dresses won't stick to their legs. That drives me INSANE when they do that in games
InuyashaFE
Well, guys, you know what this means... We have to petition Bethesda until they make the game after Skyrim have clothing physics.
Iv000
Actually, if they give us enough modding tools, and since the game has new Havok technology, couldn't we (the modders) add cloth physics? That hasn't been done to any game, and the Nexus would be the most popular forum in the gaming industry! :
trustyperson
I'm getting really excited now! I've never really been a graphics prostitute, but I LOVE when the clothes have physics in games! It looks so nice! edit: wait... I don't remember using the word prostitute.... does this forum change words up?Hahaha now that was just funny:L
trustyperson
Cloth physics is a MUST if you want to play a Mage or assassin character! I'll be playing as a hybrid of these two as I usually do and in oblivion there wasn't really clothes to suit my character like that. The robes in oblivion were a bit lame. That's why I'd love if they would do it properly this time.
Bloodinfested
If it is possible to mod physics to armor and cloth also do hair too :D
InuyashaFE
If it is possible to mod physics to armor and cloth also do hair too :D Yeah! It'd be nice to have someone with long hair that isn't a rigid piece of plastic.
Hateshinai
I'm pretty sure that this won't be happening, but I would really enjoy seeing clothes have physics. I would at least like the engine to support it, that way modders could add it in in the future. Thoughts? My thought is - you should go watch a movie. Evilllamas
I hated robes in oblivion because of their weird lack of physics- most modern games nowdays have physics to some degree with cloth etc... so I really hope it get's modded in!
