Dark0ne
And so we go back to the argument that if you think a high death count makes the news more important then starvation in Africa, deaths in conflicts in Somalia (among other countries constantly in a state of civil war), smoking, obesity, cancer/etc. related deaths, deaths from US/UK/UN warplanes killing civilians in Libya would be top of the news every, single, day. Is that what you want? Basically this argument stems from the fact that you don't care much for hearing about the royal family. That's your prerogative. Lots of people disagree with you. Indeed, the wedding of William and Kate has shot up to either being the most watched event ever on TV or the second most watched, depending on who you believe. The funeral of Diana, Princess of Wales, is considered to be third. Ergo the news isn't based on what's most important, but what's most popular. That's the news. The popular news sells. Hence why after a few days of coverage, or weeks depending on the event, news agencies will always move on. It's why we rarely hear about the masses of Africans starving every day despite it still happening. People are "bored" of hearing about it. That is the media. Your problem seems to be with them. Dark0ne
Naturally it should cover the news that is the most popular first. Selling the news is a business, after all. It's not like the tornado wasn't covered, it was simply covered after the wedding coverage.
HellsMaster
Dark0ne, on this one i totally agree. My aggro should be on the twisted Media and not individual people, so on this I apologize for what i said. But what am i to do against Media?
