Almost finished with the textures. I've got to go out this evening though so I won't be able to finish the Zeta Invaders tonight.

Also I need to adapt some normal and specular maps for this and add a bit of wear and tear.

I'd also add some sort of texture to it underneath the decals, so it looks like its either a sticker, or painted onto the metal of the cabinet. I'd imagine a sticker would start to peel, and paint would start to fade or chip off after 200 years.

Would it be possible to replace the keyboard with a Joystick and buttons?

Also, lemme just say, I used to work in an arcade, so this mod really makes me feel nostalgic for a better time in my life. Thank you for the work you guys are doing.

We don't have animations to have settlers use the joysticks yet. But I was thinking ahead when I unwrapped the model and left some texture space to add joysticks and buttons when we do have animations.

I am not yet sure if I am going to dable in animations in Fallout 4 after the Creation Kit is released. I used to do animations back circa 2012, and the 3ds Max side of things is easy. I've never attempted importing an animation to a Bethesda game before.

Oh absolutely. I've been making the completely clean and fresh version as a starting point because it's easy to work from there. Also some of that sort of texturing is going to come from either the normal or the specular maps, these are just purely the diffuse maps (the colour that's painted on top of the texture) so it's only 1/3 of how it's going to look in game. However I definitely want to give it a bit of a real solid look, to make it look a little worn and used.

Thankyou for the feedback and I'm glad you're enjoying the work so far.

Ya textures are looking great :) Definitely cant wait to see how the look in game with the ware and tear.

No rush, still working out a few bugs with the arcade machine's. For some reason they refuse to spawn with the tapes inside when built threw the settlement build menu but have em when added with "player.placeatme" and re positioned with the build menu

We don't really need the animations for the joysticks themselves, I just meant on the model.

The regular "NPC accessing terminal" animation should do fine as a placeholder.

Dont know about you, but I'd find someone trying to type on an arcade machine with a joystick sticking out of there hand a little odd lol.

And without knowing how long until we're going to be able to edit or add new animations, dont think its worth sticking a placeholder in.

There we go, I've finished the diffuse textures now. I'm just going to work on converting these to normal and specular maps as well so that's it ready to use. Are these designs alright for the machines?
