piddy3825
Been really enjoying walking around the map with the water basically turned off using the "No Ocean" mod by Bradenm650. Kinda interesting walkabout with plenty of hmmmm... moments as to what could be possible. I had Dogmeat along and it was interesting to see the sand stir up from the bottom as he ran along side me across the bottom of the ocean. Got pretty deep out there so you can imagine what visibility is like in power armor at the bottom of the ocean at night...Maybe it was my graphics card but the surreal landscape and the random debris fields reminded me of the movie "TankGirl" with Lori Petty, LOL. didnt work for shallow water or deep water inland lakes. fun mod though, worth spending an afternoon checking it out, but the loot was nonexistent and what i did find was mostly disappointing. Lots more sunken treasure in FO New Vegas, I was expecting better for this game.
tomomi1922
If no water, isn't the bottom of ocean the same as on land?
Boombro
Lots more sunken treasure in FO New Vegas, I was expecting better for this game. Why? The devs are different, even they had the same level of skills, doesn't mean it would be the same.

I don't think it takes extra skill to put more lootable items under water. I like water, even the part where the whole town is flooded and water must be super icky, but it brings certain sad feel to the location, different than just a dry town with dry rubles. And those floating boat out the harbor must look ridiculous floating.

TheOriginalEvilD
There are far less hidden things to discover in general with this game.
lilkandeekid
There are far less hidden things to discover in general with this game. This exactly. Was super sad that we have no hidden weapons or armor stashed in some obscenely hard to notice spot to be searching for :(And still kinda shocked with how little was done with the ocean, hopefully somethings planned for it. TheOriginalEvilD
Yeah in the past, when you found a spot that was a pain the ass to get to, you pretty much knew there was going to be some kind of half way decent loot to be found there just for your effort in getting there. I love a lot about this game, I can't bash it like some guys do, I love the settlement building and I still play the hell out of this game on a pretty much daily basis, but the more I play it the more it's clear that the content is just not as dense as previous games. I remember so many random little quests in FO3 that had you treking across the whole map looking for something really silly, like the Naughty Nightwear quest. robhartman9
console command TWS toggles the water display but be careful or you could end up like the Romans chasing Moses. TWS times out and also drops out when you move to the next cell. There is a suit of power armor at the bottom of one of the lakes. I looked up this command to go and try to find it but haven't got around to it yet
