World Map texture all over floor?

Had to wipe my hard drive because of a mass attack of VBS, zbot and ramnit, so therefore reinstalling oblivion.

 

I've only just installed COBL, FCOM (not currently enabled, though) and better cities.

 

Oblivion runs fine, however, the floor texture seems to be the world map over and over again.

 

I've never had this problem before.

 

Here's my load order -

I'd be aware of bumping, for it's against the forum rules. Patience is key, can't answer everything immediately.

 

Anyways, though, if you mean the landscape texture is all the IC over and over, try reinstalling the Official Oblivion Shaders pack from here.

Yeah, sorry about that, just in a bit of a hurry earlier. And yeah, now (before even loading the cinematic) it comes up with 'Oblivion has stopped working'. Although it worked fine on low settings... I'll try fiddling with it for a bit.

Anyway, this is one of the oldest and most common problems for newly modded games especially. Just so you know how common and old this is, do a quick Google search (my first search: oblivion map ground). In fact, I found this thread from searching on Google.

For the other, try BOSS for load order, OBSE may be needed, or a missing master.

I've tried replacing the shaders already :( Re-bossed the masterlist and everything, reset the video options, the game just won't run. It doesn't even start the .bik for the bethesda logo, which is usually a sign of the problem being mod-related... I'm gonna try rebuilding the .cfg

 

edit- Ya, rebuilding the .cfg didn't help either.

Try disabling everything and see if it still persists. If so, reinstall.

 

If it doesn't, try enabling everything + FCOM. Installing FCOM, while not enabling it, may still be overwriting some files that are causing the problem. And, of course, be sure the patch is bashed correctly. This might be the cause of your CTD problems - I know it was the cause of mine...

 

I have an underlying feeling that the problem is stemming from Better Cities, though...

Update - It seems to not work when ANY mod is enabled. I have tried BOSSing it over and over again, but as soon as any esm or esp comes into play, it doesn't work.

 

Edit - Even after a reinstall, it won't workk... Serious confusion
