jedimembrain
The sarcasm is strong in this thread <_< One thing I'm a little bothered by .. I run oblivion and fallout 3 maxed out but this is asking for duo or higher and F3/TES4 were only asking for a single core .. I have a duo core but I hate to think I'm going to get lag when swinging my cam around now.

I run oblivion and fallout 3 maxed out but this is asking for duo or higher and F3/TES4 were only asking for a single core .. I have a duo core but I hate to think I'm going to get lag when swinging my cam around now.for a start, there are no released specs yet afaik. Ob could never use anything but a single core, so dual core should never be mentioned in . I think F3 was multithreaded to some degree and dual core was actually useful, that is probably why F3 runs better on my quad, and looks twice as good as Ob. On consoles the system is ram restricted, but we on PCs have 1GB vram and several more of system ram, Ob is cpu bound on PCs because while on consoles it makes full use of their respective cpus, but on PCs only single core clock speed is at all relevant to performance and your second/4th cpu cannot be used by the game. This is could be a sign that SR is going to actually utilise our dual/quads.

I think you can take Xbox's specs as minimum system requirements.Since Oblivion and Skyrim are on the same console hardware, they shouldn't differ in system requirements. Ghogiel
I see this on every single page that has to do with requirments .. Idk the original source but everyone is saying its the specs...The source is speculation, they are all getting it from that one games specs website, and they made it up, it's not official, didn't come from Bethesda etc. I think you can take Xbox's specs as minimum system requirements.Since Oblivion and Skyrim are on the same console hardware, they shouldn't differ in system requirements.Well the xbox is a tri core 3ghz or something, with 512MB of combined system and Vram. It's not worth looking at. It's much more relevant to look at F3/NV specs, and think that they are going to make it use more of the resources that are available, making it more resource intensive, and also making it more optimised on the PC this time around. I half expect the min requirements to be basically the same. But not sure about the recommended. I assume from what Pete said, that it would recommend a slightly better system than their previous games as they are trying to make more use of the resource available. but at the same time be more optimised.. if that makes sense. jedimembrain
I feel safe to run it at the same quality as the 360 plus higher res texture due to my massive ram and video ram .. but I'm afraid I wont be maxing out the bells and whistles if they include some nice things like paralax wall mapping or SSAO .. maybe better shadow filters .. draw distance on the 360 looks god enough for my liking though :D
