Crashing during "find the heir" quest

After finishing the siege on kvatch quests and getting to the point where martin follows me to weynon priry, i cant fast travel or walk any large distances without the game crashing on me. im guessing it could have to do with the oblivion gates eing opened, or some mod conflicting with the main questsline... or maybe kvatch rebilt, but i cant really get far enough to see >_<

 

im running it on:

Win 7 64-bit

not sure which version, some old retail

version, but wit the latest official patches, all the DLC mods and SI

instal location C:\Program Files (x86)\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion

the oblivion, SI, and official add-on unoficial patches

Also, do you have a cracked version of the game? Not accusing you at all but in many cases, cracked copies of games are very troublesome. :)

:3 well i did have a cracked copy a while back when i played it on my laptop, but it didnt show any problems that i cna remember, although i did use any mods then either.... ill try disabling the levelerscheat and see what happens

Probably unrelated but you should disable Natural Weather. It's well known as the buggiest weather mod out there. You can keep the other components of Natural Environments. I would suggest replacing Natural Weather with All Natural

Don't use LoadingScreensAddon together with the OOO patch. I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to load the LoadingScreens together with the LoadingScreensSI. The readme puts them as "optional files", and instructs to use only the LoadingScreensAddon if you have OOO, which you do. This may not really be the cause of your crashes though, but Oblivion tends to crash when there's too many problems that otherwise wouldn't have made it crash (like too many missing meshes, textures, etc.)

 

Try to use BOSS on your load order. It'll rearrange it for you in the most recommended way (for example, Surazal recommends that the VWalk files be loaded right after each file they modify, and BOSS will do that for you), and it can give you suggestions on some known conflicting mods. It'll say things like "WARNING: Do not load <mod1>.esp together with <mod2>.esp."

well i ran BOSS and disabled the loading screen addons, but i still get crashes right after any sort of traveling

i might take a day to disable all the mods to see if the qcrash is just related with some bug within the game itself... although not being able to play the main quest is a bit annoying xD

any other possible fixed would be appreciated, and thanks for the replies so far :3

Natural weather springs to mind as a likely candidate, especially since you find yourself near Kavatch, where the weather is rather odd. :D

well, it ended up bein kvatch rebuilt that was causing the crashes on fast traveling.... kinda disappointed that i might not be able to use it... tho i guess ill try after finishing the main quest lol

I don't see a BashedPatch...recommend Wrye Bash and merging/importing to relieve conflicts. If you have Bashed Patch, any time you add a mod that changes Oblivion.esm one should "rebuild" the patch.
