Zaldir
How about making it possible to add links? The tag does not work at least. Is it just me, or am I being really demanding on this new feature? :P EDIT: For instance, when adding a change log to the OBSE submission, I would like to add a link to the new functions, since there's quite a lot of them. Maskar
I haven't tried it yet, but is it possible to modify the change log entries? Also, I would like to suggest adding a few more fields for the changes, so it can all be done at once.
ciaphus
Excellent addition hopefully people will make use of this, it's very difficult to know if you have the correct version of a mod without proper version control. I hope this encourages people to upload there mods more without fear of 'figuring out how to manage the uploads with the correct version and patches'
Dark0ne
Ok, I've added 5 form fields now and fixed the issue with escaped characters (the backlashes). Re-arranging the changes so you can order them is a lot trickier and not something that I can do quickly or efficiently I'm afraid. In regards to making them textfields, rather than input boxes, the idea of a change log is to be concise and to the point. There's a 255 character limit (which is the character limit of the MySQL type I've selected as it saves on database space) on the form fields which I think is plenty to get the point across for each change. Problem is if you want BBCode it's going to cut in to that 255 limit quite a lot.
Antiscamp
I have long, detailed changelogs each and every time I upddate my mod. And every time I update my mod, I need to publish it at two different websites, here and at ModDB. Writing all the news stuff and articles for these two websites, publishing the new screenshots and so on, usually take a long time of hard work too. I don't have time for even more work in that department. I therefore don't have time to publish my changlog over several pages point by point like the TesNexus system proposes right now. I will continue to copypaste it right into the main page as usual. The changelog idea is really great, but it needs to be severely simplified if I'm going to use it. Zaldir
Oh, I got an idea. What about putting a "View Changelog" behind the version number on the top of the page? This way, it's a lot easier for people to at all find it. :)
pintocat
The changelogs need a field for "date" of the version
Arthmoor
@Antiscamp: Why not just tack the changelog on to the end of your readme? I find that to be effective when dealing with something that's got years worth of revisions built up. Then you can upload the readme file to the site as a standard text file and all the info will be there for those who seek it.
Deleted1848331User
Sounds like a good idea, but sounds a little harder to use than just putting it near the end of your mod's page...
Smith099
Very nice addition, thank you.
