No evil companions!

Boo, I miss you Jericho. Dragging you around the wasteland with me was so much fun. Especially when we blew up Megaton and murdered everyone in Vault 101 together. Ahh, good times.

I'm annoyed that there are no truly evil aligned companions in Fallout 4... some are more chaotic than others, but in the end, they're all goody goodies who will get pissed off if you steal, blackmail, or commit murder. Well, except Strong, but he's not really evil, he simply just doesn't care about most things you do.

Like, a raider companion for example... that would have been cool. Or a gunner. Macready doesn't count because he sucks, all he does is constantly whine and complain.

I'd say "let's hope for DLC" but... I don't want to get my hopes up. They usually get crushed.

Strong is a true evil companion... It isn't a matter that he 'simply just doesn't care about most things you do.' He actively encourages you to do evil things and gains loads of affection when you do. He encourages you to eat Dogmeat...

Now if you don't like Strong, that is a total valid opinion, I don't like him either because he is one dimensional and boring. But you can't possibly deny that he isn't a true evil companion.

It is unfair to call that evil. Strong is just aggressive and less socially nuanced. Why wouldn't you eat a tasty dog? Why wouldn't you break those who stand in your way? These things are not evil, they are simply morally different.

It depends on what constitute evil? Strong is a Supermutant who sees human as food, as well as Dogmeat and other animal. Yes it is gruesome looking at Supermutant camps. They also seem to eat raw meat and are very bad at preserving them (hello refrigeration?). But then again in FO4 world, if human can consume 200 year old decomposed sweet cake just laying around in the open, it's not any better. But to say supermutants are evil just for eating meat is the same as saying all humans are also evil for eating beef, pork, and chicken, oh seafood too. And yeah, Strong is really one dimensional. Maybe there will be a DLC about him.

If anything a little close to that direction of evil, I would say Cait. But then she is just operating in that dog eat dog world, so a lot of activities we deem immoral are ok by her standard. And then she got better.

I wouldn't call Hancock a good guy. He murders a guy right in front of you the first time you meet him.

He appears pretty ruthless- until you take him as a companion. He talks a lot about murder and drug use, but his actual comments to the player are very kind. Seriously, he has such care in his voice when you overload your carrying capacity. He's like "Let me take some of that. You're going to hurt yourself."

I think it's a tie between him and Curie as far as who is the nicest.

Hancock is a "take no s**t" kinda guy, but he doesn't like to see innocent people victimized. That's why he knifes that guy in Goodneighbor, because blackmail under threat of violence is just one-on-one oppression by the powerful of the weak. =^[.]^=

Murder requires there to be law.

Really? So you're saying if tomorrow there is no law saying that killing someone is murder, it's ok if I show up to your house and butcher your entire family? Just because there's no law saying it's "murder"?

Killing someone who isn't trying to kill you, is murder. It doesn't have to be against the law to change that. There's self defense, and then there's senseless murder.

Ok let me rephrase my first post:

I wouldn't call Hancock a good guy. He brutally stabbed a guy in the stomach until he was dead the first time you meet him.

He stabbed Finn in the stomach twice just for talking smack about Hancock getting soft. I don't care how the guy treats you as a companion. Put yourself in Finn's shoes. What if you're Finn's wife? Son or daughter? How exactly is what Hancock did to Finn any different than what Kellogg did to your wife/husband? It's exactly the same thing...senseless, cold hearted brutal murder. Just because the guy is nice to me doesn't mean he isn't a psychopath.

Well, that's most likely due to a beef. If he wouldn't show his teeth around Goodneighbour, he would end up with a knife in his guts as well.

I don't think any Fallout game ever had any truly evil characters as followers, otherwise that would be a waste as a non antagonist. Joshua Graham, Dean Domino and Ulysses were close but the more the character is involved, the more it becomes apparent that they are rather miserable.
