blaholtzen Posted April 5, 2016 Share Posted April 5, 2016 (edited) Been looking forward to seeing the Institute armor get made and implemented, figured I'd help by putting together some more reference friendly concept art,working out the proportions to fit the frame, animations and other armors. This is still an early version. I'd be happy to get some input on where to go with the design.Especially the helmet, as while it could probably be rigged solid and look great on the armor, it probably wouldn't mix well with the other armors. question then becomes if it should be converted into a proper helmet or just let it look stupid without the proper torso will be updating this as i work on it Edited April 5, 2016 by blaholtzen Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

vesios Posted April 14, 2016 Share Posted April 14, 2016 (edited) personally i love the way the torso and 'helmet' are one piece. it sets this armor apart from all the others and i rather like that. it might look odd when mixed with other armors but no one's saying you need to mix it right? out of all the power armor ideas i've seen on nexus i need to say this is my favorite. might need to start a pure institute character.... ninjarat314 Posted May 24, 2016 Share Posted May 24, 2016 Always good to see my favorite faction getting some love!Anyways, I'm loving the way you've made it, but just for clipping issues, the red arm parts *might* need to flare up at the elbow joints but if it doesn't clip that's even better. Honestly this and the Institute BioWeapons are some of the biggest things I've been dreaming about for this game ever since my Art Book, Game Guide, and Pip-Boy Edition came in. :pAlso even though it's Institute Power armor, it "seemed" (from what I interpreted in the Art Book) that it was primarily if not exclusively used for mining/excavation purposes, thus having a "dirty" version with soot and the like would look just as nice as a pristine one, if not having both options available.
