played a bit yesterday and yes there is double xp for killed enemies ^.^

Christ is there really? Of all the things they could change in survival, I don't think I once saw anyone complain about the xp gain. That seems a bit excessive eh

Yeah ... I didn't notice until I switched back and forth between Beta and Live a few times. I was surprised no one posted it before I did.

As far as no one complaining about the XP gain, no one was demanding a Restricted Save system before the Survival Mode Announcement either, but we got that too.

Yeah, but there were plenty of people on the bethsoft forums talking about how it's apparently the greatest thing ever. I don't see why they couldn't throw toggles in, but what do I know. They seem to have shut those forums down too, I guess that's that. Seemed like they even ignored Chesko, and he pretty much blazed the path for them

I kind of think I understand what Beth's going for here. In Survival Mode, the respawn rate has been drastically cut back, so you're not going to see as much enemy action in some areas. An XP boost would help make up for that a bit...at least that's what my guess is. That said, I could swear the rate's got some variability in it based on some of my trips down "cleared" paths and still getting jumped now and then.

Guys, need some help, is the the officaial Survival mode up for PC yet, or is it still in Beta?, i've refused tro play the game until survival mode is official

As of this minute, 1.5 is still in beta. It works just fine as it has over the past few weeks and I'm still enjoying it. Mods are working fine, though I only use Darker Nights and True Storms in Survival Mode at the moment.

Did Bethesda fire their hole QA Team? It seems to me we are the Testers now^^

Lots of companies use beta testers, a QA team and devs to test their software. Devs can be biased, but they know how the program is supposed to work. QA teams are supposed to be unbiased, but they may see something that isn't working as intended and not know that it's supposed to work differently. They also cost money. Beta testers as a whole are not as good at reporting bugs and feedback as a QA team, but they are free and can help the company catch more bugs than they would with just devs and a QA team.

Thanks, i might try the Beta then...question: If i download the Beta, what happens when the official patch comes along?

Once the official patch comes out, it updates with the live version is all. You don't have to do a thing.

As for going to beta and NMM, even if NMM turns off your mods, don't worry. You can load up NMM, set your

mods and the order, then exit NMM and then manually go and re-enable them for the game.

See the UFO4P first post for the details. It isn't hard and only takes a minute.

(haven't tried the new NMM yet, still waking up and having first cup of coffee)

tried the Beta this morning, only to have all my saves crash upon loading the game (including those I know for a fact loaded fine previously). tried disabling mods one by one (load order is very short, 7 in all) hoping to pin down the problem, no luck. Tried downloading the latest NMM, no help. Tried the advice found here (although only the recommended fix) In the end I decided to simply remove the Beta, and now my game loads just fine.

I'm willing to listen to any advice anyone may have on how to get this working properly, because if future updates are anything like this, I have wasted my money on the season pass. I'll need the game to load properly for any and all future updates if I plan on playing any more of the remaining DLC.

Your problem is from the mods you used on those saves, not with Bethesda's content. Start a new game it will work fine.

I guess I'll just have to wait before I update any further then. Not gonna throw away 300 hours on two characters just yet. When I finish both, I'll consider updating then.

Thanks for the info.
