This Memory Patch just isn't working

For some reason every time I try to go into my Lakeside house where my followers are staying it CTD. I've added in the memory patch and the loader log says its patched to 768MB yet every time it crashes I look at the MemoryLoaderLog it has always crashed at 300MB or just below it. All the videos and stuff I've found are not using up to date versions of NMM or SKSE. Is there anything I've missed as far as fixing the memory issue? BTW I am slightly new at modding, as in I haven't been messing with Skyrim for long but I'm decently skilled with computers in general.

P.S. I don't know if this matters but as far as I can tell (I could be wrong) the problem didn't start until I installed the Lakeview Extended mod.

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/31380/?

I installed and got a lot of bugs with my followers so I uninstalled it and then the problems started.

But now I'm crashing even if I try to summon all my followers outside of the house as well, which leads me right back to the memory problem. Sorry for the long post but I had to get some details in that explain it.

(And the only visual mod I have is 2k textures. Nothing else heavy on graphics)

Any help is appreciated.

Are you up to date on the latest Steam patch for Skyrim? That includes an expanded memory patch so the memory patch mod from the Nexus is not needed any more.

I just downloaded Skyrim about a week ago so should be totally up to date. Didn't see anything about the memory patch. Is that an add on in steam or automatic?

I got the legendary edition with all the DLC's but opted not to get the HD addon from steam.

Rabbit51: the 4 GB patch isn't needed but the skse memory patch still is.

firechicken123: (what is it with cute animals and numbers today?) the memory patch is working. It's just not related to the problem you're having.

hjj174: Certainly one possibility. Uninstalling mods mid-game is a terrible idea. I'd recommend to OP that he reinstall Lakeview extended and go back to a save from before he uninstalled it. That way he can at least rescue his stuff (and his followers!)

Hi Firechicken

First up, the mod may not have been in the right place in the load order, which would give you your original CTD and be nothing to do with memory. Did you use LOOT to sort the order? Do you use Wrye Bash and a bashed patch? Don't forget, LOOT will give you what it thinks is the right place, but you need to double check to make sure.

Second up, like Thallassa says, uninstalling will cause murder and mayhem in your game save. Either go back to a save before you installed the mod, reinstall the mod so you are back to where you were, or use something like Save Game Script Cleaner [ http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52363/? ] to clean the loose and broken scripts the mod will have left on uninstall. I like this particular tool - it is easy to use.

My guess is: reinstall the mod, make sure the load order is the best you can get it. Fire up the game and hopefully all will be OK. To be on the safe side use an earlier save to test.
