Maintaining a site the size of Nexus costs money, you dolt.

Gotta love clueless people. What do you think this website is run on, smiles and cheese wheels?

Are you kidding? Cheese wheels are hella expensive. It might not show in Skyrim, but where I'm living you could buy a house off that kind of dosh.

There are some really nasty redirect malware out there, And one trick they use to keep from being removed by antivirus is to trick you into approving the download. They do this by hiding the 'you approved this by downloading this FREE game (or whatever)' message deep in a multipage TOS or through tricks in semantics. And if you approved it then it is not a virus. However, it can be defined as a PUP (Potentially Unwanted Program) Currently the best anti malware program I have found to get rid of this garbage is JRT (Junkware Removal Tool) it is owned by MalwareBytes, but is a FREE stand alone program.

Get it here: https://www.malwarebytes.org/junkwareremovaltool/

It runs fast and takes out the garbage programs that are missed by most antivirus.

It can also be run from a USB so you don't even have to install it on your computer.

Try it and let us know what you find.

I've used that tool already and It came up with nothing, Even if I had redirect malware I'd be getting this problem somewhere else and not just the nexus I've made a post about my experience and others https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?app=tracker&showissue=58040

Thank you. You are definitely one of the best.

Not too many company's even care about the junk they throw at us while we are trying to use their sites. Recently, I've stopped using sites that allow auto-play content of any type. Maybe, someday 'they' will get it: we want fast internet for streaming, not for more intrusive advertising.

It's good to know I won't have to do that with Nexus. You have a truly unique site, and replacing it would most likely be impossible.

Again, thank you for caring.

I don't normally comment on these posts, but it's good to know you guys are trying to at least not be jerks about the ads posted. I used to have to keep my ad blocker on because Google would run out of memory if I had too many Nexus tabs open at once. Luckily, that's not the case anymore and the blocker is off.
