Thor.
New rumors have it that the new windows 8 will have xbox 360 playability. ??? Source http://botchweed.com...-windows-8-pcs/ Edited July 23, 2011 by Thor.
LadyMilla
It would be an interesting gimmick: they will certainly need to offer some incentive to switch from Windows 7 to Windows 8 because right now I'm completely satisfied with Windows 7 and I do not see any feature in Win 8 that would create an irresistible urge to upgrade. Thor.
Lol i can see that flooding the Nexus as soon as Windows 8 gets release ;D http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_Ugl3ZZaVUlk/TRGLiqRux5I/AAAAAAAABeo/fLtLNNUeKoE/s1600/2000.jpg Huh  Note to all nexus users 360 pc game compatiblity still means modding is still illegal. Just a heads up just in case this is legit. unless Microsoft says otherwise witch i doubt it., since its console emulation?? or full support. Edited July 24, 2011 by Thor. JimboUK
You would need one hell of a PC to run a 360 emulator.
Thor.
Hmm i don't know about that, its just like running a standard pc game, if its optimized embedded in the operating system itself i think it'll have full support so it'll be like running off a 360 firmware so to speak. Optimization still there. Just a theory Edited July 24, 2011 by Thor.
JimboUK
Hmm i don't know about that, its just like running a standard pc game, if its optimized embedded in the operating system itself i think it'll have full support so it'll be like running off a 360 firmware so to speak. Optimization still there. Just a theory Emulators don't work that way, they have to emulate everything in real time. Look at the specs for the Dreamcast, PS2, Gamecube ect and then look at the specs needed to run the emulators, you need many times the original systems specs. http://www.tested.com/news/why-microsoft-wont-emulate-xbox-games-for-windows-8/2577/ The only other option is porting, that is expensive and will require permission and payments to rights holders. Thor.
Yea remember the xbox emulation on the 360, its actually really good. Before my 360 rrod'ed i had several older xbox games that worked flawlessly like fable and Kotor. Well lets hope its as good as the original xbox emulation.
