Boombro
What they do do well is create fun sandbox worlds to explore and collect and craft and level up and mostlyNot all games are sandbox are those types of games few. kill thousands of opponents over and over again. There are a ton of games where you can't even kill anyone. There a games that done story and writing well. New Vegas didn't have a good story my ass. Anyone that ever knows a good story knows it not. The problems with a first person shooter perspective is game designers think of things TO SHOOT. And a good RPG is about the people you meet,I wish people start to know what shooters are what RPGs are already. RPG is about your character, set or not and their growth in as character in the game via stats. Shooters are games with gameplay that relies on long range weaponry. robhartman9
Does anything live up to the hype used to promote it? Taking a huckster at his word is a little naïve. Did I get what I expected? Pretty much. Do they expect modders to fill in the blanks? I think so seeing as they have their own mod page now. Only big fault with the plan was a long delay before releasing the GECK
Boombro
Does anything live up to the hype used to promote it? Bloodborne, trails of the sky, TW games, darkest, grim dawn, the long dark, overwatch etc etc.

jjb54
Well, this is the forums on the internet. It sadly what most people do in those. I have to agree with Boombro .... and it's not 'sad' ... opinions shared give other people an idea of what might be going on in their game and yes shared their ideas (opinions) of said games. Even you, Ethreon posted an opinion about opinions... LOL ... just saying. ;)

charwo
I wasn't trying to start an argument. I don't like the game. This is the first and last time I get caught up in Hype, it's a lesson that cost me $90. I HATED Fallout 3 vanilla, but it at least was an RPG. But this isn't about that. Could Bethesda give us the game the intro promised? Is it possible? I don't think so, but I'm not sure. Bu I'm guessing from the reactions, the consensus is Bethesda tells terrible stories and good writing is beyond them.
