aaroncox
so is it in or not? what do u guys think?
Iv000
It's in for undead creatures like Draugr, we don't know if it will be in for human/beast NPC's. Like LHammonds said, it would be stupid not to put it in, since they already know how to do it from Fallout 3.
aaroncox
alright, well i'll keep my fingers crossed. thanks. i hope it's in. and what we saw during E3 wasn't the final product.
ziitch
"Dismemberment" has been in since Oblivion with skeletons and Storm Atronachs when they are killed. However, I don't think having someone living lose a limb fits the gameplay of The Elder Scrolls, so my guess is no.
EviloMEN
If you lost a leg you'd bleed out in minutes anyhow. Also I imagine it'd be difficult to carry on a fight with a loped off arm, "not impossible". The Black Knight did it. :P Fallout only had it in death. I wouldn't expect anything greater this time around.
aaroncox
in death, is all i'm hoping for. =) fallout style
draconix
I'm pretty sure they said they won't have quite the exploding head factor that they did in Oblivion, but I'm not sure who they are, or in which video they said it. It would be cool, but I kind of think it would lose it's effect if it happened too often, like in Fallout. I think it would be cooler if it only happened sometimes, while performing a powerful attack when an enemy is very close to death... Kind of an overkill perk or something. marharth
I don't want anyone's head to explode, or anyone head to fall off with a arrow. The only time I want to see a head explode is if I use magic for it.
huntsman2310
why wouldn't it be in? Fallout 3 had Dismemberment (I'm won't cite Fallout New Vegas since Bethesda didn't make it.) It will probably be refined and expanded on (If you can actually expand what dismemberment does) I mean, a while ago one of the developers talked abouts some of the mods that inspired them. Like Deadly Reflex.
Mansh00ter
Speaking of which, what about other F3 style special deaths, like getting reduced to a pile of ash as result of an unfortunate incident involving a magical gob of fire? As for dismemberment, I think it fits a game involving large sharp weapons very much. If, of course, done in moderation.
