Zeazer
I like that graphics evolve because we will eventually hit a barrier of how realistic a game can look and then it will become quicker to do it so more focus will be given to gameplay and story :) EVENTUALLY! Zeazer
games will always evolve graphicaly and when they will hit the ultra realistic graphics barrier, they will no longer be games Ill make a new statement. Games will evolve graphically a long time. But the need isnt there. Our human eyes and minds can only see around 150 megapixels (if I remember correctly). If we then add more realistic physics and destruction to that I wouldnt ask more. There will be an end to the graphical need of the gamers :)
worm82075
This is assuming all you have heard about Skyrim has greatly excited you, If every aspect of the gameplay in all its facets were still in the game but the graphics were reminiscent of a time gone by a decade or so ago, would that impact your desire to play the game? No, not really. The only thing that keeps me from playing Morrowind is knowing every inch of the game world as well as every exploit. Having said that I'm extremely happy to have real time shadows, dynamic weather, fantastic looking animations and most importantly a drastically improved LOD. marharth
Everyone refers to notch when talking about that. Notch is right, but the technology does exist. It is not entirely new, and that company is not the only ones doing research on it.
