JimboUK
The UK economy will be what our representatives make it and if we don't like what they do we can remove them, now the UK is a democracy they can no longer hide behind the EU and are answerable to the people. JimboUK
We're out of the EU, the Tories are fighting like cats in a sack, the Labour Party is imploding and SWJs are drowning in their own tears, what a time to be alive. Theory is that has already happened... Tory War Games I've never read so much rubbish in my life, by triggering Article 50 you limit yourself to two years, it would be silly to start the timer when you haven't got everyone in place. As for Boris Johnson, he's looking to be Prime Minister, he has to look statesmanlike, he can't go around punching the air like Farage. It's also worth mentioning that Leave never suggested that the Article get triggered straight away, that was Cameron.
sunshinenbrick
I'd agree with you that it is a mistake to underestimate the underlying solidarity of the Tory party. Although I would admit there is more than one road to Rome. I think Theresa May is also a very strong candidate. Even George as the economy 'recovers'. The referendum is not binding in any way. It is a glamourised opinion poll, and one with only a hair breadth majority. It is a bargaining chip for more power as an 'associated member' or whatever they come up with. Article 50, while vague, is potentially a loaded gun. Convincing the electorate is what matters and many would follow them into war if they believed it was in their best interest. The electorate is split almost right down the middle and government still control the narrative and so will control the agenda. This is not to say that a number of contingencies haven't been planned for of course.
Mirocu
I say let the EU and euro crumble to the dust it was destined to be from before it was even a thing in the wet dreams of the corrupt politicians!  Don´t let them make another vote in order to make the people vote for the "right" option because then you are truly stuck! No more votes will be tolerated then "because the people have spoken!!" They have spoken now, accept it!
