weierke
Yeah, the collector's edition has some pretty sick stuff with it...but what do you guys think. Is it really worth the 150$?
natelovesyou
I'm getting it. But, it is not worth $150. After seeing many other games' collector's editions coming out now or even years ago, $150 is just crazy. It's a plastic statue, an artbook, and a making of dvd... I've seen CEs come out with twice as much stuff for a lot less money. Maybe it's kind of like buying Nike instead of a similar off-brand, it just costs more? But the way I see it, is it's a way to support Bethesda, so if it's worth it to you...then do it.
Iv000
Well, if you have the money and you really want the Statue, Art book and making of DVD, sure why not buy it.I personally think it's worth it.
elderiii
It's not worth it to me, but that's something you have to decide on an individual level. If they had offered a more typical Collector's Edition for $75-80 (everything in it except the ugly statue) then I would have seriously considered it. I could see myself wanting all the stuff in the CE more than the statue, and might be willing to think about that sort of price tag for a TES game. I like TES a lot, but I don't think I am going to spunk like nearly all of my years gaming budget on that.

I'm mean, looking at other games though, it seems these statues are what's hiking up the price, as SWTOR's collectors edition is 150usd as well. Mass Effect 3's collectors edition pretty much comes with essentially everything these 2 have, minus a statue, and is only 80usd. But still, I am kinda peeved that Bethesda isn't making an actual official soundtrack Skyrim, even if wasn't included in the CE, I'd still buy it. (but that's a whole nother topic)

LoloPinky
I'm apprehensive about getting it; I haven't made up my mind yet. I want to support Bethesda and even though I've refrained myself from reading anything about Skyrim for the past few months (I want everything to be completely new and exciting to me, or disappointing for the bad parts, but let's hope there aren't too many of those) I still think it's going to be an amazing game and such an epic experience. I think it's definitely overpriced, as others have said, there are other collector's editions out there with more stuff for less. My sister is getting the standard edition and I was going to get the collector's edition to 'share' with her - meaning, she really wants the statue and the map and I would quite like the art book and the making-of DVD, plus I just love collecting CE's. But after upgrading my PC (and still not fully finished) I don't really have that much money to spare right now, especially with christmas coming up soon. Oi, oi oi, choices, choices :/

malevolentraven
I got the CE and personally I think it is worth it to ME. I want it partially because I wanted the Oblivion CE really bad, and I went to the store and the guy wrong it up and it was messed up and the thing wouldn't let him sell it...stupid walmart...but I think that partially instilled in me that i "need" this CE to sort of fill that void on top of just wanting it. I personally think the dragon looks decent and I shall set it on my desk, I am really excited about the art book especially being an artist myself. I'm also really interested in the DVD. So for me, yes it is worth it. For others, maybe, maybe not.
