fasty1
Maxing it wont do you any good if you get like 20-30 fps... id rather tone the bell and whistle a little to where it gets me 50-60fps. I willing to bet even if you get past/meet the recommended and max the game out your average fps will be in the 40s.
Deleted1572091User
This looks like it was meant to be a reply to a thread already in existence. Aside from that, you're being a little too vague for anyone to come up with a good response. Are you saying that even if you surpass the recommended specs, there's no way anyone could get past 40fps on max settings? If that's what you mean, I'd wager there are quite a few people around who would not agree.
fasty1
sorry for being to vague im saying that for the people who hover around the reccomended requirement 40ish fps will be their average. Meaning that if you meet or surpass the reccomended requirement by a little but not too much that will be the fps you can expect.

There are too many variables in the way of calculating exactly what to expect performance wise with a game that hasn't even been released yet, with all the variations in computer hardware makes predicting such things extremely difficult. I suggest you be patient and hope Bethesda has been kind enough to include a timedemo feature which would be great for benchmarking. ShadowscaleB1980
there most likely will be a console command for displaying FPS - as to exactly what the command will be is anyone's guess, it could easily be the same as oblivion considering the engine they are using is only a heavily modified version of the gamebryo engine. You can play the game on the minimum specs and still play it on Ultra. Your FPS, however, will be crap. Its not like having a slower PC will lock the graphic sliders at low..... JimboUK
Given a choice between a good framerate and eye candy I'd take the good framerate every time. We won't know until the 11th how well it'll run, it could be like FO3 and hold 60FPS maxed quite easily or it could be another Morrowind.
