Darthsith
Hopefully the new CK allows for modders to port their "older" mods over to the newer engine. It very likely that old mods will work. ENB will need to be updated and probably SKSE, which I imagine will occur, just not instantaneously. SKSE dependent mods should be fine I want to say, once SKSE is updated, and will not need to be individually updated... maybe. Existing ENB Presets on the other hand will probably not play well to a DX11 Skyrim ENB dll and will more or less need to be made from scratch on a, I imagine, much reduce version of ENB (less for it to do both visually and for stability purposes). disi30
In Fallout4 (64bit engine with DX11) Boris has a working ENB for some basic effects like DoF already developed. There is F4SE, like SKSE for Skyrim.MO Beta2 (64bit) is on its way. It doesn't look too bad with the months to go until first release of the new Skyrim.
icecreamassassin
My main concern is with this new CK; you have to run your mod through it and resave for it to be playable on the new version, and it must be done to post to BethNet BUT does this somehow mechanically make the mod proprietary to that site? will we be be able to simply pass our mods through the new CK and keep using Nexus and developing the mod for the new system? Some of the verbage used in the tweets about it has me concerned. Probably nothing because twitter is frankly a s*** form of communication when you only have like 50 characters to type. Any ideas? CiderMuffin
I really doubt the only way to upload mods will be to upload them through Bethesda.net. That just doesn't make sense and Bethesda isn't that stupid.

It has already been said by Beth that most mods will work. What we are assuming is that they mean the ones that don't depend on libraries like SKSE / MCM and so forth. Any ideas?process will be just like current skyrim ck with an option to directly upload to steam workshop. we can always choose not to upload to steam workshop and instead upload files here on nexus. same will be with new Ck it will have option to upload the mod directly to bethesda.net but you can always choose not to. dpgillam
I tried the search a couple different ways, and didnt find my answer, so if it was already said, I apologize. But will this "remastered" version affect any of the hardware requirements? My laptop is a decade old, and barely able to run the low settings, and my tower is even older. Im getting ready to upgrade the tower, but by how much? I can afford the middle to upper-middle suggestions, but is that enough to run the new version? I would appreciate if any hardware guys could PM and let me know a good set of suggestions for the new game.

At the very least, it will likely be more taxing to run then the original release. If you're on a tight budget, something like an Athlon x4 860k and a GTX 750 Ti should likely be enough to run the game just fine. You could also ask for upgrade advice in the PC boards here, there are some really knowledgeable people that usually reply to threads there. icecreamassassin
Yeah, I did confirm with Bethesda, and mods will remain open to upload anywhere. I was just concerned because of how it was stated, that they were trying to coral things to their site when I've spent several years building my community around my mod. I'd hate to start again. There will be a delay though after the release for any SKSE using mod, which that gets updated for the new system, but I expect that won't take them long.
