Has Crysis been beaten in the graphics/physics department yet?

I swing thart around CC-Im yet to see a game with WORSE physics lol.

I remember dying several times due to obsurd physics errors, the funniest of which was when the KPA truck I'd stolen suddenly flew half a mile sttraight up, wiggled there for a moment, and then plumeted off the edge of the map. Funny errors TBH, and nothing that dampened my great enjoyment of this game, but I wouldn't say it had the best physics. :ohdear:

I think Saint's Row 2 gives physics a good run-it's got a pretty great physics engine based on modifed havoc if I remember right, but I've never seen it spaz-out like Crysis sometimes does, unless ofcourse you asked it too, via one of about tqwo dozen physics-engine related cheats, such as low/no gravity or babes raining from the sky.

For graphics I'd say BF3 for unmodded, and probably GTA-IV for modded. HArd to top either of those really. Ace Combat Assault Horizon has some pretty fantastic explosions but Im not sure if it's textures put it near the other two.

I would probably agree with you about GTA4 looking best. It looks really good on very high/ultra settings+texture pack and enb/icenhancer. I find that the only problem is that the pedestrian models in 4 are lower quality, which is why I use a "enhanced" texture pack instead of a photo realism one because the people just look so out of place afterwords. Another noteworthy game would be Company of Heroes. Though not that "amazing" by today's standards it has average 2006/7ish fps game quality models and textures and it is a rts game made in 2006, which is probably why its still a demanding game  .

Vindekarr: do you overclock your computer components? It sounds that a lot of your errors come from having your rig well-overclocked, we're talking having your components run at ~30% overclocked, even more maybe, because overclocking does cause graphical and calculating errors like that and the only to remedy is - surprise - turning those overclocks down.

Overclocking isn't always a good idea, especially if you want your vid card to last for a good year or so  Edited by Thor.

Hmm what kind of liqiud would u use to submerge your comp in, I was almost tempted on getting a fish tank filled with some form a liqiud like that lol. Mineral Oil??? is there a certain kind i should look out for lol.

I would put my tower beside it just for the mechanical parts like Hdd and cd drives.
