JuJooGuppy
I am highly curious why Bethesda would stop DLC support so quickly for Fallout 4 like this. Content wise, the core game is lacking compared to the other titles... and DLC wise, its severely lacking imo. While I am fine with the idea of small little workshop add-ons, the fact they are the majority of the DLC for F)4 is incredibly disappointing. I had originally believed we were getting a 3rd wave of DLC late this year, but now I am seeing that isnt the case. But why? Why would they leave a lot of cash on the table? I mean, people are still playing FO4, and clamoring for quest-driven DLC. If they made a Shivering Isles size add-on at this point, with a good story, I have no doubt people would buy it. So I am really confused why FO4 seems to be so unimportant to them in all honesty. Then again, I was surprised they did not do more for Skyrim, given how popular it was / is... Just feel let down is all. I am not trying to b**** a storm like some people, nor am I overly angry, I just don't get it, and wanted so much more from FO4 add-ons.On a tangent, also sad about the Skyrim remaster honestly.. As nice as the Skyrim remastered looks, Its not jaw-droppingly gorgeous, and I am disapointed there, too, because it could have been Morrowind (Which I never got to play) or even Oblivion (My GF wants to play but cant stand the graphics, haha). and I wouldve bought them in a heart beat..Blah. Hopefully the community keeps Fo4 going for awhile at least. Surprised Bethesda seem so eager to distance from it though.
CyrusAmell
I think it usually comes down to Studio Politics (which sounds like a poli-sci class). For instance take Skyrim, they likely stopped making DLC at Dragonborn because it was such a pain in the neck to adapt the DLC to all platforms due to tech issues. Frankly I wouldn't have minded if they only made 1 DLC for Skyrim if that DLC was "Destroy the Thalmor." With Fallout 4, I think the simple answer is resources. Bethesda has 3-4 other games in the pipe and they probably want to divert staff and money into those projects. There is probably a flow-chart in one of their offices that tries to pin-point the exact time DLC become unprofitable and, for whatever reason, they decided that time was about 1 year out from the game's release. This probably has something to do with the fear that modders will have already crafted DLC level mods by this point, so there is that to factor. I don't like this idea because I firmly believe the community has come to expect more from a game's post-development cycle. Still, Fallout 4 has given me a ton of hours of play. Were there problems and quirks? I think so. But once the final DLC pops out and everything is on the table I will probably start up a full Minuteman character as for my final playthrough so I get to use everything the DLC give us on top of the new mods coming out. That said, I am also feeling like starting up a Skyrim Stormcloak character this winter in-between classes so we'll see where that takes me. zanity
Special-ed Skyrim is coming, and with mods for the consoles. Seriously, who'll be thinking about the VERY mediocre FO4 after this date? Beth ain't stupid, and FO4 is DONE- even 3 more DLCs is 'generous' and more than they needed to do.
CyrusAmell
Oh not this again... Fallout 4 was fine for what it was. I'll just be grateful if they refine the settlement system for the next Elder Scrolls game because you know it's going to happen.

CyrusAmell
If that's the case then they really dropped the ball on keeping clear press releases. I suppose nothing is stopping them from returning later to add in additional content if they think it appropriate. But unless they released clarification on the matter then I will assume for the moment that Nuka-Cola World is their last planned DLC for Fallout 4. If you've seen something official that contradicts that I'd love to see it.
RattleAndGrind
You piqued my curiosity so I went out and read four different Todd Howard interviews. I could find nothing where he definitively stated or even hinted that these three new DLCs where the last ever for FO4. That doesn't mean he didn't say it, just that It wasn't in the interviews I read. But the fact that it isn't there is telling. An announcement that there were to be no more DLC following the three announced at E3 would be newsworthy for gamers and the information would be reported. CyrusAmell
I'll just laugh if that's the case, because it would be one hell of a screw-up in the messaging department. Then again, it wouldn't change anything. We would all still be waiting to see what's next. So... meh I guess.
Boombro
When far harbor was talked about, it was said to be the last, they meant the last of the batch of three. Maybe it was like this? Still odd no clear statement from anyone about this. Would like a tweet about it. Still, I prefer one dlc is that is great over 10 meh ones tbh like fo3.
