Zolexus
I put my graphics from high to ultra, turned off all AA and enabled FXAA. I played all afternoon now with being outside on regular intervals for a bit of time. Didn't crash once. So either this is because of the no AA or because of higher settings (which I doubt) or because of the FXAA enable ooorrr I just got very lucky that I didn't crash once. I was in dungeons most of the times at least. I'll try more and if I crash again I'll say. In any case, might be worth a try doing the same thing I did and see if that helps. My system is quite good though, so it might have something to do with the spikes that earlier posters mentioned, because of the no AA, my PC might be able to handle the weird bug spikes now. If they're higher than mine it makes total sense.

McDerp
Same. Tried clean installing Windows, drivers, audio fixes, low settings.... no dice. Core i5 2500kRadeon 6950 (lots of people with Radeons 6950s here I see...)4 gb ramEnough storage space to store the web's porno library in redudency Windows Home Premium 64 bits. It's not hardware as this PC has no issue running Battlefield 3 maxed out for 2-3 hour sessions at a time.
Qcio
Just registered to say that I have the same problem. I have this problem for like a year now tho, the only other game I kept getting black screen was World of Warcraft. Sometimes it happened once per week, per 2 weeks and sometimes 3 times per day. I didn't have this problem with Witcher 2 for example, and playing BF3 without any issues aswell so yeah. i7 920gtx 2953 gb ram And about Skyrim, played last night 5 hours straight no issue, today PC froze 3 times in a row after playing for literally 10 seconds, fml. McDerp
Let's be all honest here Does everybody who has the issue have a legit copy of Skyrim? Mine is pirated because I'm a poorlad, buying soon as soon as I have teh money... Just want to isolate all the factors here...
