shadow56
Why am I hearing so much negativeness for Skyrim? I don't have it yet...is it really bad for PC? Then again everyone complain that BF3 was disappointing and it became actually my favorite game. I think Skyrim is awesome. It is vast in content. Beats the pants off Elder Scrolls Oblivion if you ask me. I have had no problems with it running on my PC. Has crashed a few times but that is to be expected. I am sure many bugs have to be worked out and a patch is on the horizon. Would suggest that if you get the game also purchase the Guide Book. You will need it. Skyrim is huge and the guide is over 500 pages.
efikmalydoskonaly
It's really good, but not in some "wow, I never dreamed about it" way, rather "more of the things that we know and love". It really feels like Oblivion to me, mostly in the dungeons. The gameplay is good, the world is open and great, and there is plenty of things to do. I already can't wait to see it modded. Of course, there are some annoying things, but Oblivion was annoying too. Firstly, the character-creation and develompent is even dumber and less complicated than it was in Oblivion (and you that it was bad, hah :P), the menus, inventory itc are a joke (they really look like they were mad primarly for console, not PC) and the world map is not a map, but some sort of general view, which maybe looks nice, but it's awful to use and takes some immersion away. Still, I'm sure most of it will be modded away :) And these are not serious problems, nothing game-breaking, it's still really playable. The new alchemy system is so fun to me. I like the small things, like crafting armor. I played only a few hours, but I'm pretty sure I'm gonna be 300+ like Oblivion, and that I'll stay with the community, checking out updates and discussing things for next few years. So, Skyrim gives me everything I needed, but nothing unexpected. Maybe that's why some people are disappointed, it's nothing fundamentally new, just same, good old TES game with new locations, quests and pretty graphics. But I'm more than fine with that! One thing that keeps me worried are the CTDs. I experienced a few of them, but wayy to many for an unmodded game on a new PC and only a couple gameplay hours. I hated that in Morrowind and Oblivion, and I hoped Skyrim will be more stable. Still, there are official patches yet to come.. so maybe it won't be that bad. Tzz
It's a great game. Some minor flaws that'll be fixed by mods. Everyone's complaining about the UI yet I don't find it that bad. If you get used to navigating it with WASD its actually quite fast.
crakonpack
The game is outstanding! To me it's the first time Bethesda has done things right... Next titles need to be like it. (No, morrowind is for hardcore fans only, I could not get to appreciate it without mods, get bored after 10 hours of playthrough) The only thing Bethesda yet has to do is to introduce Mounted Expansion, a whole expansion centered around mounted combat - this is what all fans want, and will pee in pants if they get. For reference check Mount and Blade and possibly Scared 1 (not sure about sacred 2) - they have mounted combat, it is cool and fits well into gameplay. Btw speedtree rocked, why scrap it? Martin126X
Terrible UI,Shitty Font,No Horse combat,Other then that it's great, the graphics are awesome and well optimized the story is interesting and, well It's a TES game!Although its not as good as Morrowind (No big surprise here since Morrowind was like the holy grail of RPG games) and it's kinda dumbed down, in it's vanilla state still much, MUCH better then vanilla Oblivion was. Oh and Morrowind isn't for hardcore fans only, it's by far the best Bethesda game (well maybe Daggerfall is better) and is completely amazing, if you can get through the fact that combat is s***, you'll fall completely in love with it.Trust me, I played it since it was new, probably more then 1500 hours and I still find so much new stuff in it. Nyctoda60
It's a little glitchy, but that's expected from Bethesda games in the first week. I had one that sort of haulted my quest, when I was basically at the top of the companions... And Giants hit my downwards into orbit. It's getting pretty laggy at some points, and its gettign irritating, but I f'ing love the game. Oh yeah, and the guys who follow you act half retarded. They always get lost if you take any route other than a pathway ie. uneven ground. And sometimes they just stand there like a dumbass getting hit Edited November 13, 2011 by Nyctoda60
DyingAtheist
There's one reason more than any other, the negative community is always far more vocal than the positive community. If you ask people about Call of Duty 99% of people you talk to will hate it, yet it's the biggest game franchise in history. Sheralynn
One of the best games EVER! But the UI sucks. It will be up to the modders to show Bet how its done.
Crocutrax
A very good game as much as I've experienced overall. On the other hand, finding things with no 'sprite' at all and occasionally having no textures combined with the sometimes frequent crashes to desktop I get. Still the best game I purchased this year. In the end its definitely a true Bethesda product, both in the best and worst ways. If they could just identify and fix some of the problems before the modders end up doing it, I can raise my opinion from 'very good' to 'great'
