joeeb22
Hello, I am new member posting in desperation! I got new graphics card 560ti nvidia and psu (550 w Coolermaster) just for the game. But I have a huge problem with any setting pretty much with the cpu going into freak out mode jumping up to like 85 C from around 60 C in other games with max settings! ( Deus x HR, CSS, etc) I am just so confused why this is happening and am not sure exactly what the problem is any help is greatly appreciated I will be lurking trying to find the solution so I should be responsive thank you. (EDIT) Thank you for deleting double post was on accident! techneek111
I have the same CPU on my computer and the problem is that its a duo core. Cpu . I have a hd5970 and I was using a e7500 running the game on med cause my CPU and overheating at 101degress so I bought a new CPU. Q9550 775 socket mobo and now I run it on ultra with no lag and no over heating what so ever
dreigen
If that CPU had reached actually 85ºC, you wouldn't be writing with that computer right now.
techneek111
Naw I had the same CPU and that's the way the e7500 is . It overheats to 70-90Degress when over clocked and the heat has no affect but if it gets over that and stays up there for a while the CPU will crash computer but at the 2.9hg the CPU runs at is fine. I had mine clocked to 3.7mhz on my e7500 and it was heating up to 90 Degress with no effect to the CPU. But skyrim is to good for that CPU an that's why I got a q9550 over clocked at 4mhz
saldu
And how do you explain that getting a quadcore solved it, since skyrim only ever uses 2 cores, no matter how you tweak it?
Ghogiel
And how do you explain that getting a quadcore solved it, since skyrim only ever uses 2 cores, no matter how you tweak it?I suppose with dual core, SKyrim has to share them with the OS. where as with a quad windows is threaded properly and so SKyrim can have 2 dedicated cores,
Midicow
And how do you explain that getting a quadcore solved it, since skyrim only ever uses 2 cores, no matter how you tweak it? I just messed with the threading settings in the ini and run skyrim with +fullproc. Tesv.exe totally uses all four cores, and I've set up a cpu usage logger, I get really good fps even in heated batles in complex terrain with everything maxed and fxaa, and still have plenty of cpu overhead left on a stock phenom I 2.5Ghz black edition with a single hd5750 1gb on win7 x64. Skyrim also uses all four gigs of ddr2 that I have. I've got the various high definition texture packs that have been released so far, and use my own custom shadow settings, and use a version of the fx injector that doesn't cause my synthesia to initiate "my brains are burning from the massively intense contrast" mode.
