shuazoid
I don't know, are those considered cheats? To me , they aren't , I'd just go back and forth and loot most of the time, I cant bear to let loot go. It also prevents any sort of 'grinding' from occuring which makes games really boring at times. You? Or is it really a cheating, overpowered mod? Once I was a level 79 smither, raided the entire Dwemer tome in Makarth, came out and smelted all my dwarven stuff and got it up to 95. McclaudEagle
I think one that increases it by a huge number (100+) could be considered cheating, but anything below that and it might be considered ok.
vertex23
It's cheating. I dislike even being able to carry 300lbs out of the gate...I don't know about you guys, but carrying that much weight on my back cannot be fun =/
soot00
Warriors do have it worse starting off. Hitpoints are obviously important to warriors but having to lug all that heavy armor and weapons around causes them to always be near capacity and pretty much makes you increase stamina earlier than you would like if you want to carry more loot

Well you don't even need a mod just a horse, you can mount your horse no matter how encumbered you are and fast travel on him while encumbered also. Vagrant0
There's a point where reality and practicality conflict. The real problem is that we don't have a fleet of wagons following us around while we raid a dungeon. Making dozens of trips back and forth between a place is not difficulty, it's tedium. Having to ditch a piece of armor on the floor because that quest item weighs 10 pounds is just plain annoying, not because you now have to travel without that piece of gear, but because you have to drop it, hope you don't kick it into the abyss, deliver the quest item, then come back and hope it's still there and you don't accidentally kick it when looking (and accidentally kill yourself from clutter). It's a single player game. The only one that cheating effects is yourself. Personally, I would rather spend that 10 playing hours that I might have spent going back and forth between a dungeon and town doing something fun. I spent enough time lurching around encumbered and walking at a snail's pace half-way across a continent in various MMOs, don't care to deal with that here. Rennn
The Skyrim weight system isn't in pounds. Converted, it's more like 300 Skyrim weight units=90 pounds or something like that. I saw somebody do the math on this forum somewhere.
Ghogiel
It's cheating pretty much. By definition at least. Bethesda took this all into consideration to give you companions that you can load up and give you a horse that you can fast travel on. Needing more than that is ridiculous. I can carry a f***ing ton of junk and my daedric armor, And I am a mage with 140 stamina.
Marthos
A fantasy game set in a fantasy world with elves, lizard men, cat people and dragons. We can chuck spells and magically enchant weapons and armour, we can glug a potion to recover our health and glug another one to make us invisible. And people then go on about a "realistic" carry weight limit :wallbash: Pass the skooma dude
nolgroth
Give me the higher encumbrance mods! Justification? Sure, because I want one. As long as I or somebody else, is willing to mod the game then that is all the justification I need. I am with the whole "it's tedious to go back and forth, lugging a bunch of loot" crowd. There is already a mechanism in place (limited merchant gold) to prevent outright "abuse" ( a funny word considering the single player aspect) of having so much loot. For those that don't like it, don't use a mod.
