The idea is nice for people who like it, but I have to come to defense of the Ainmhi race mod made for Oblivion. It was awesome, and I'm not even a Japanese Neko-stuff fan!

I wish it was made for Skyrim as well.

Still, all the best with this one! Wolf and Fox ideas sound the coolest to me :D

There's already a feline and reptilian race.

Maybe a canine race too? Like a more civilised version of the werewolves of Skyrim. They could have the natural power of sensing something useful with super smell sense. And maybe be naturaly faster than other races when running on all fours. And have strength bonus.

Or a bird race, like a humanoid eagle with exotic blue talons and small beak to eat food more normaly. They could have the natural power of temporary flight (although this might make quests awkwardly adapted to prevent them being to easy with flight). They could use a natural unarmed talon attack .

There's already two anthro races! You know how many most settings have? Zero! We're lucky to have the two we already have.

In a way, there's four true races in Elder Scrolls, playable anyways. Human, Elf, Khajiit, Argonian. That's two of four. Everything else is a variant of humans and elves. So half of the four true races in the game are anthro.

Not to mention this idea isn't really lore friendly in the least... but we've already had a topic like this.

Just... in my personal opinion, the notion that there aren't enough anthropomorphic races in TES couldn't be more flawed, and I'm a big fan of the beast races.

...And if you really want to play as wolf people, you know the game already has werewolves in it, right?

ok, so redguard, breton, nord, imperial and orc? are all humans?

wood elf, high elf and dark elf are all elves

argonian are anthropomorphic reptiles

khajiit are anthropomorphic mammals

You don't see the inequality there? you say elves are just variations of the same, and humans are just variations of the same. why aren't there variations for the anthropomorphic reptiles or anthropomorphic mammals? That's all the OP is asking for, more variation on these 2 classes

I want more variation ot the 2 anthro you mentiont of cats and Repitiles too you know i want more races in too than just that you mentiont My friend

The Human races is okay but the anthro beast races seems to set in the dark light sometimes in the games

Orcs are not human, they're elves. So are Khajiit, technically speaking.

There are plenty of lore-friendly races to add. If people want to add more beyond that, I would suggest making two separate mods: one lore-friendly, and one not.

I'd be interested in seeing the races of Akavir added, but I don't want to be forced to also add a cornucopia of unrelated races too.

Beak is right. I mean, you just put some new race in without supporting lore and information. Game starts and somekind of fox walking on its feet jumps out of carriage.

This isn't anything like Elder Scrolls

this is for those that do, if you don't want it, you don't have to download it, that doesn't mean that it shouldn't exist for those that do.

not to mention that after you've beaten the game (several times) and done all the side stuff and everything you possibly can do, it just get's a little boring and lore shouldn't really matter that much, it's just a game, and as of being a game it's meant to have fun.

and on the other hand, i finally have pictures of my "mystic" bat race that could be added into this. these are pics from SecondLife of my new Dazzle Bat avatar.

If anyone wants to see more detailed pictures of the race, just say so and il make more snapshots of the avatar and i can show off some of the other eye textures and im not sure if any of these pics show the claw hands very well.

and also, i thought of something when i was browsing through a furry site, i found something that resembled an argonian but was more demonic looking, thinking of maybe a Deadric Argonian

here's the pic. WARNING: contains nudity, nothing hardcore in the least but still contains nudity.

Drake made once mod with dragon for Oblivion, looking more like deadric argonian...

I think that someone will do mod with variants of argonian race.

I just want to see the real furries in Skyrim, wearing clothes and weapon with badass faces

Fun is different things to different people. Yes, it is a game, and yes, its goal is to be fun. But what you're critically forgetting is that to some people, being lore-accurate is part of what makes it fun. Part of the appeal of fantasy worlds is a cohesive, extensive lore from which to draw from and immerse the player in. I love that, personally, and that makes the game more fun. So saying "lore doesn't matter cause it's supposed to be fun" doesn't really make any sense unless you define fun solely as what you find fun.

All myself and others are discussing is the possibility of having lore-friendly races. Whether people create others beyond that is not something I, nor anyone else, can or should control. That's not our right nor our job. But that doesn't mean we don't have the right to discuss this, and what we might also want out of a race mod. That's kind of the point of a forum. Our opinions are no less valid than yours on what this mod could be, or how it could be made.
