ironbender800
SKSE will need to be updated which cant happen until modders get their hands on the game. SKU UI as far as i know will NOT be updated which means mods with MCM menus wont work. Basically your best bet is to stick with the current skyrim for probaly months after release to wait for the modders to update everything and catch up. Thats what i will do anyways. HalloweenWeed
... and the new SKSE has been built. Ah, but that's the console-users concern, console users can't use SKSE in it's current form. SKSE is an overhead utility, a "loader" of Skyrim, Skyrim loads under SKSE. This sort of stuff is taboo for console users (I think they're afraid somebody would use the technique to cheat in games). Since SKSE does no good in the data folder, it's no use for consoles. Unless either Bethesda includes some sort of SKSE iteration in the base game, or SKSE gets more creative, console users will not be able to use most mods that are out there for Skyrim right now Rubbermatt. Thus my last statement. Edited July 17, 2016 by HalloweenWeed

Thus my last statement. It should be possible to create a sort of injector SKSE, somewhat like Cheat-Engine. The current design may be just a decision for convenience? Moksha8088
I am thinking that texture and perhaps audio files should work. Where would the game be without SkyUI, MCM and all the complex quest and companion mods? It might be similar to vanilla Skyrim but with more haze and God rays. CansecoDev
My mind is echoing. 64 bits, 64 bits, 64 bits... Why you didn't this back in 2011 Beth? CryTek understood it but just a few followed the idea until now (now if your game doesn't support 64 bits you're just incompetent). I hope this new update will support some tasty features from DX12 at least or any improvement with the physics (any, really). I can't wait to see how many sweet rolls can I spawn in the same place again, and more seriously; a higher light source limit. Back to the thread, It will be just a matter of time. You can always pray to the 3 gods Patterson, Abel and Connelly, they'll provide.
Drullo321
As already stated, mods that depend or work with SKSE, Sky UIs MCM and such stuff won't work as long as there won't be a version for the new SE. My guess is, that beside technical aspects they might merge all of their current ESM's in one big file and maybe repack some BSA's. If that happen, some mods might need small changes with TESVEdit. However you can expect that simple replacers (textures, meshes, etc.) will work outside of the box. My hope is, they incorporate essential mods like USLEEP, part of SKSE and SkyUI right out of the box because I can't imagine that things like the crappy 0% approval rating vanilla UI is something they consider superior. Even then, modders and users have to figure out how stable the new (engine) release will be and if we need things like ENBoost and/or SKSE.ini to prevent Skyrim from naturally crashing. Aragingmonk
I hope they include the Vulkan API and do not screw up the performance like they did with Fallout 4. 60 fps and you take 4 steps and it drops to 28 FPS. Some people have blamed Nvidia for this and I know any game they touch seems to have performance issues. They make great GPU's but suck at game optimization and getting Vulkan to run correctly. I doubt mods will be available immediately. Hines said yes they will work and saved games will carry over. Already back tracked on the saved games from what I heard. But hey it is free and SKSE will be updated, just give it a few weeks it will be as it was before. Well, with no RAM limits etc... so I guess better then before. lol
disi30
From SKSE, the very most important function would be to bind custom keyboard input. Any mod that opens a menu or performs any other action on input, will not work straight away otherwise.
Moksha8088
It might be similar to vanilla Skyrim but with more haze and God rays.Don't worry, you can improve the look of your game by turning off the god rays in the SkyrimSE.ini. Otherwise, just consider it a part of that blurry look you get with many ENBs.
Boombro
It might be similar to vanilla Skyrim but with more haze and God rays.It in 64 bits. You know how you spend hours and hours on your mod list, to not remove crashes, but to make them less monthly? That may as well be gone. Also better CK. For the SKSE, it will be ported since those guys are gods among men. For the SKYui, someone else may need to port it, how is that done? I have no idea. Maybe it as simple as opening it in the new ck, maybe it 10x times harder. We have to wait.
