Do you have mod downloading addiction?

I keep searching new mods and thinking "oh this is nice", "this is very good too", "oh, this one I definately must have now!"

And then I keep modding and dont actually play the game!!! LOL.

So this goes away with the time? Im on my third day now. Will it get worse? Any suggestions?

Anyone else is the same? :D

Of coarse not. I only check for new mods three times a day. :psyduck:

So true... I definitely have spent more time looking for mods than actually playing... The frustrating part is that after the first couple of days all of the mods started repeating themselves. I hope the construction set comes out before everything in Skyrim has a f***ing troll face on it.

I spend approximately over 9000x more time actually modding than playing games. Half the time I play games is research lol.

+1. I consider the research-and-modding phase to be an end into itself. Once I THINK I'm satisfied with everything and start a "real" playthrough, it always ends up a "tweak and fine tune" playthrough where I change little things, take some stuff out, put new stuff in... basically my gaming becomes a test run.

After 5 years and 220 mods I finally had a REAL game of Oblivion on a solid and battle tested install I didn't have to tweak and that didnt crash. Of course I knew the game by heart then, but it was immensely satisfying to finally feel everything was right and that what was running on my computer was infinitely better than what Bethesda could ever publish commercially

In short, modding is a game into itself.

You're not the only one trust me,

Between Morrowind/Oblivion/Fallout 3/Fallout: New Vegas/ Dragon Age: Origins/ CoD4/Borderlands/and MANY other games, i spend a lot of time doing it, hell even RTS games i spent more time making maps and everything then actually playing ><

All worth it though.

I must've had 300-500 mods in Oblivion and maybe 200ish in F3. Haven't really gotten many yet for Skyrim because I don't feel done with the main game yet in order to add anything. Will probably add a lot more once the CS comes out. And then constantly as really cool armor comes out.

Both my Morrowind and Oblivion games are heavily modded; I came late to both (2007), and the multitude of mods was irresistible. Skyrim I started on release day, so intend to play through the first time modless.

I'm another person that enjoys finding just the right combination of mods to tailor the game to my taste. There's a real feeling of achievement when you finally get 240 mods to play nice together.
