well, the uBSN is available to those who would like to visit the forum aside from cBSN. generally, i'm not sure exactly how much i can integrate the whole board discussions quickly in that short period of time we have.

This post is very out of the blue and unrelated to anything in this thread. Can you include some context, please? Our archiving efforts and the BCN website aren't tied to uBSN, cBSN, or any forum.

why do people have to bring that up? Tarshana, you don't know the full story on that old past. but this is something that is still constantly brought up this issue from old BSN to BSN Prime. they're ones that hasn't dropped it. they just drag it into other people's lives for no reason over whatever they can and they also just tell stories about me that might be not true or made up. just plainly ignorant of the fact that it was past, past is past. no need to drag it up into future, present time. they say things about me that i'm crazy, mentally unstable etc etc. that's not true. they do this to hurt me constantly since the BSN Prime days. the "associated drama" came from them, not me. they're ones that you should avoid.

@RealKorra -- BSN drama aside, can you clarify the intent of your last post? It doesn't seem to have any relation to the goal of BCN and the purpose of this thread.

 

Whether creators of new forums pull content from the existing BW forum is their decision. All we're doing is keeping an updated list of the major new forums that have been created, and your forum is already mentioned. If you're letting us know that you won't be doing an import, then that's fine. I'll add it to the description of your forum on the website to ensure readers are clear. However, a discussion of whether your forum does an import or not is out of the scope of this thread.

BCN Website update:

 

--I've added The Refuge to the BCN blog post on new forum communities.

--I haven't yet put up a page with the list of mod authors we're currently trying to get in touch with, but will do this soon. It will be a page and not a post, so it will appear in the main menu.

--As far as the rest of the site, I'm not planning on any new posts, unless BW gives us reason to. There are 4 posts: closure announcement summary, forum communities, future of forum/BSN content, and the inventory efforts. All but the first are being updated, as needed, with the date of modification at the top.

--I considered putting up a static home page with a summary of everything and overview of the site, as it would keep things a bit tidier. I still might do this, but it seems like there is some novelty in having all information in posts on the home page. I don't know if it helps with web search results or not.

 

On that last point, if it makes no difference, then I may go ahead and implement a static home page with the closure on Thursday. Then the other posts would be accessible (I think) via a new Blog option in the main menu. I'd have to check how this particular WP theme works.
