robhartman9
I had a little chuckle to myself when I saw that in the patch notes. Honestly they never bothered me I was so busy avoiding Preston I never really got close to them either
parrotheada1a
I had a simple solution. I sent them to another settlement, usually one that I didn't build up so much. Or I turned them into provisioners so they would be out on the road all the time.

TummaSuklaa
Err they are still essential in my game.. and I'm up to date. o_O Nothing says the famous Nelson "haa haa" than pegging whats her name in the head with a .50 calibur sniper rifle and her dropping down and getting back up moments later. Nevermind. I haven't completed Sanctuary yet. Edited August 24, 2016 by TummaSuklaa
iXenite
I never understood why people hate them so much. They are tragic pair and I feel sorry for them.
tartarsauce2
it's because whenever you go near them they're basically totally hostile when on their own, and it's just like, YEAH I GET IT YOUR KID DIED GET OVER IT AND HAVE ANOTHER ONEit gets grating, and since we know they're just characters and not real people on a level, there's no reason to tolerate their broken record'ismsthat said the little thing about walks I'm okay with, it's just the direct hostility from them that gets to me Edited August 30, 2016 by tartarsauce2
cossayos
I never understood why people hate them so much. They are tragic pair and I feel sorry for them. No, they're Bethesda NPCs, and as such they are broken records. Pixels and bytes, by the way, so no real loss. Not that Preston wouldn't annoy me more but he's safely stored as the single inhabitant of Red Rocket.
iXenite
No, they're Bethesda NPCs, and as such they are broken records. Pixels and bytes, by the way, so no real loss. Not that Preston wouldn't annoy me more but he's safely stored as the single inhabitant of Red Rocket. With that logic I shouldn't bother with any story in any game because they're just pixels on a screen, and therefore, I can stir no empathy up for them. Therefore, there is no point in investing my time and trying to enjoy a story and the characters inside it. Bethesda or not, the story behind those two is still sad. Using Bethesda's AI programming skills to explain why they are bad doesn't really cut it for me either. If I was so easily upset by bad programming and other design flaws I wouldn't find enjoyment out of any Bethesda Games Studios game, or really most games in general. Either way, everyone is obviously free to hate them if they want to. I won't tell someone they're wrong for hating a video game character, they can do that if they want to. Moraelin
As I was saying in another thread: I was all for leaving her alone to deal with her grief, IF she returns the favour. If she doesn't wanna talk, I'm not making her! Hell, I'm not even making her work if she doesn't wanna. For all I care she can just go cry in a corner if she wants, or drink herself into a coma at the restaurant, or whatever floats her boat, really. But she actually comes and spams me with her snarky comments while I'm not even trying to talk to her. I'd just be there trying to decide which receiver to blow my resources on at the weapons workbench, and I'd get Marcy stand in the doorway and abuse me for ten minutes straight, including whining about having to stop everything she's doing to talk to me. Well, I'm not making her! Sometimes she seems to even follow me around just to abuse me. It seems stupid to the extremes to come whine at me that she doesn't want to talk to me. I feel that if she doesn't want to talk, the least she can do is SHUT THE HELL UP! Second only to the idiocy of Sturges. I swear to the elder gods that he'd actually come get parked near me while I work at some workbench -- and I can be busy for like half an hour with the robot one - and spend like half an hour going: "I'm busy!" "Can it wait?" "I'm busy!" "I'm busy!" "Can it wait?" Well, yes, fer fork's sake, go get busy already and leave me alone  TL;DR version: It's not about being pixels or not. There's sinmply a line between grieving and actually hunting me down and following me around to verbally abuse me. The latter's no longer grieving, it's wanton harrassment and bullying. IRL I'd probably just get an injunction, but sadly that's not available in the game, so shooting her in the head will have to do
