Someone has 3Ds max?

The new 3ds max plugin can extract models from skyrim. But I haven't got 3ds max and can therefore not benefit from this. So I ask if someone who has 3ds max and knows how to extract models from the game and convert them into obj format could send a specific model to me.

I need a long clothed armor, like a imperial armor or stormcloak armor that goes down to the knees. I need to use one of these armors as reference for the new armor maybe armors I'm going to make. As soon as I get a armor to work from I'll start making armors. As soon as I'm finished with my personal armor I could take requests.

All I need is a armor to work from, can anyone who has 3ds max extract one for me and export it into obj format?

For a start just use nifskope to extract the objs for yourself. And secondly how are creating models anyway? other apps have nif support and CAN get the geometry into scene... it just depends on what you are using.

Nifskop can't open the nif file from skyrim for some reason. Anyone who can tell me how to get a obj file of the armor I'm trying to extract? I saw someone had imported a model sucessfully into max, which leads me to believe it's possible to get a obj file of a armor somehow. Could someone maybe send me a armor? Because I don't have max...

EDIT: I'm using blender which has no nif support. But Max has nif support right? If anyone could import a model and export a obj for me I would appreciate it since as i said I need to work from something...

It sais no armor in that thread, and I need a armor...I saw this:

My link

The dragon is rigged and it's inside Max, could someone do the same with an armor then export it in obj format so I could import it into blender? Because I haven't got max...that is the problem. I just need a armor to work from so it won't have deformation problems when it goes into the game. Also texture sizes and format would be nice to know.

Read post. If you just need geometry then you would have noticed there is a link to a nif.xml.

Also you can export skinned models from both blender and max and get them in game: http://www.skyrimnexus.com/imageshare/images/209926-1321994973.jpg

You have to export as a F3 version nif and do some editing in nifskope to get them to work.

You can import the skyrim nifs into blender> in nifkope: if you change in the niheader user version 1 & 2 from 12 and 83 to 11 and 34, and delete the BSLightingShader branches, they will import.

I'm not a coder xml means nothing to me...oh well guess I have to wait until the coders have got their heads out of their asses and started to make some tutorials that are readable. Or better yet posted a obj armor model ARTISTS could use as reference...I'm going to wait and see how long it will take...
