Why many things still survive in the Fallout Universe

I came across this in my news feed the other day and it's about Chernobyl and one of the big dangers they have.

 

 

 

Scientists who have been studying the environment inside the Zone of Alienation since 1991 noticed something about these trees, specifically what they described as “a significant accumulation of litter over time” in a study published recently in Oecologia. And by “significant,” they mean the trees are not decomposing and their leaves are just sitting there on the ground, not decomposing either

So basically the reason why there is still wooden buildings, trees, debris and other organic matter still in existence is that well. The things that cause it to bad do not exist.

I always thought that pre-war food was so well preserved because low levels of radioactive material were incorporated into them as preservatives (thus, the rads you accumulate from eating them). =0[.]o=

If you look back at some of the previous games they stated various times that allot of the pre war food was stuffed with so many preservatives they were expected to last for hundreds of years anyway.

things were really just well made in the 50's, made to last
rotting food is just the illuminati's way of designed obsolescence
but they can't reach our vidja if we wrap the tin foil around the CPU
