CamouflageUK
On a new playthrough, I met Carla then went on my merry way. I got back to Hills and on Carla's first visit, her and Murphy are constantly shooting at each other. Really annoying now. Any pointers please? I'm hoping for a console command resolution as anything more complicated will task my skills...
JimmyRJump
I had the same thing happening with Carla after the Battle For Bunker Hill where the other vendors and Carla were at one another's throats. The A.I. must have had one of the vendors accidentally hit Carla in the chaos, or vice-versa. Don't know about any console codes that could end the heated debate, except maybe the placeatme command (Carla's ID is dc939) after having moved away from Sanctuary. I guess keeping Carla away from Sanctuary for a few days would settle things. Edited September 15, 2016 by JimmyRJump

There was once a firefight outside Finchs Farm between Super Mutants in the Revere Satellite Array and some caravan guards. When it was all over I found Carla dead beside the river. I once accidentally shot her, but she seems to be essential and can't be killed by the player? Even at the aformentioned battle at Bunker Hill, the vendors including Carla kept dropping like flies, only to jump up again and merrilly continuing shooting mere moments later... I simply left them at it and when I returned a couple of in-game days later all was okay, bar that a couple of non-essential Bunker Hillers were deadish... cossayos
Carl, to my knowledge, is one of only two traders selling oil. So shooting her, even if possible, might not be the best approach.
bill8872
At the Bunker Hill battle I had one vender follow me through the trapdoor due to being accidentally being shot, and would not die. My only fix was to restart that battle. Edited September 15, 2016 by bill8872
damanding
I've had so many problems with accidentally shooting friendlies in big battles that I've stopped participating in them at all. You don't actually need to fire a single shot in the Bunker Hill battle for example. When I do the settlement battles as part of Tina's Cookiepocalypse I don't shoot in those either. It's a lot less fun if you don't participate but at least I don't risk pissing off the NPC's that were once on my side.

You're not really needed in defend settlement X or Y. After having accidentally shot and killed a few of my settlers, I resorted to just observe and drop in the occasional VATS kill. damanding
Yeah I'll do the occasional VATS kill in a settlement raid but even that's risky. I can't count the number of times some dumb settler ran right in front of me just as I hit E to fire a shot in VATS and the settler got hit instead. I got tired of Saugus Ironworks attacking my Slog provisioner, so using the Angry Artillery mod, I dropped a signal flare right in the middle of Saugus with 3 artillery pieces in range, braced myself for the Hellfire to come just as I noticed the stupid provisioner stroll on in... Needless to say, the entire Slog came after me...ungrateful ghoul heathens.
