Manoetius
so i've recently started playing fall out 4 modded after not playing it modded for a while. i have experience modding be for with skyrim, modded the hell out of that. so i know all about load order and such. i have my Fallout4Custom.ini [Archive] bInvalidateOlderFiles=1 sResourceDataDirsFinal= and my launcher[Launcher]uLastAspectRatio=1bEnableFileSelection=1 so here't he problem, the mod Regrowth Overhaul works just fine and i can see all the greenery. But when i try a armor mode or even AWKCR it's not working. i've tried many loop holes through this, only using AWKCR to see if i get the work bench, then other mods such as Wasteland sniper by Hothtrooper44 by it's self, since in the mod description it would use the chem station as a subsutute for the armorsmith workbench. did not show. i also tried the campsite mod, the book in the celler did not show. so how is it that Regrowthover hual, and no cash register sound works, but mods that add items or settlement workbench into the game doesn't? any 1 have any ideas? JimmyRJump
Regrowth Overhaul is basically a retexture mod, meaning that it adds almost nothing to the game but instead overwrites existing files with new ones. Depending on which version you use it doesn't even add a plug-in (the non-lite version ads a plug-in for the elimination of rad storms, the regular version is the texture overhaul). Texture overwrites that don't add plug-ins tend to always work, just because there's no major alterations made to the way the game loads (i.e. the game doesn't "care" what the textures look like or how big they are. It gets the command to load the lot, so that's what the game does). A mod like Armours And Weapons Keyword Community Resource is something else entirely as it adds a truckload of items for which a lot of patches are needed. Forget a patch and the mod either doesn't work or your game crashes. Using mods on any game is a question of falling and getting up again. Trying, re-trying and then re-trying again. No two PC systems are alike and practically no two systems have the same mod combination, so, troubleshooting problems with mods isn't an exact science... 2much4l1
You can try using FO4edit to pinpoint conflicts and maybe make a merged patch. It's been kind of weird for me lately, but I can still use it to edit mods. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/2737/?
