Anyone notice the Skyrim spiders aren't acutally spiders?

They are closer to camel spiders than real spiders, as one can notice with their characteristic fang placement

 

and the position of its legs.

i can't quite tell what's different about that mod. something is i'm sure.

And now I know something new.

Also, they are not indigenous to Skyrim.

They were carried over by migrating albatross.

 

If you use my "how much do they freak you out" scale, they are in fact spiders.

 

Another point is that camel spiders don't keep their venom in sealed jars or vials.

This is done only by the spider family.

 

My final argument is that their name has the word spider in it, sooooo, there ya go.

 

I see no flaw in my logic here.

The spiders in my game are disguised as bears. They haven't quite got the hang of only four legs, though. Kind of unnatural movement.

uh...no. They are relatives of spiders, but not real spiders. :S They are Solifugae, while true spiders are Araneae. They are in the same class Arachnid.

Um. I don't care what kind of creature it is. It says "Frostbite Spider" and it has lots of legs and eyes and poison. Good enough for me, now let's kill.
