Moraelin
Now I know I'm not supposed to ask people to endorse my own mods, and I don't feel a need to anyway. My question is about asking people to endorse someone else's mod. Basically, let's say I post a picture that features someone else's mod. Like my character wearing the hunter set. Can I say something like, "consider downloading and endorsing, if you think we need more mods like this"? Mindy you, I'm not protesting it either way. Just asking what the policy is for this. Ethreon
Why not? Seems like a nice gesture to me.. and I usually leave this kind of comments when using someone else's work - either endorse or kudos or something else to appreciate the original creator :)
LadyMilla
We have a rule against solicitation: "Do not solicit (ask for) ratings, endorsements or file of the month votes either for your own mods or for mods created by other Nexus members within your file/image description." Ethreon
I stand corrected :) Are we allowed to suggest users to provide a kudos, or does that fall within that rule too ?

Lisnpuppy
I'm going to bet that in the most conservative interpretation of the above quoted TOS line it would be no. As the rule says "do not solicit RATINGS.....for you or another...for mods.." However I could be wrong and there (I think) is some revisions coming to the Terms that may address this more clearly. Kudos though not an endorsement is a rating of sorts. I would be curious about this also. Somewhat related I hope the kudos becomes easier to give as it is kinda hard to find. When I first joined it was under the username in posts and could easily be given.
