So SSE is going to be full of broken mods

So SSE is going to be full of broken mods because every plonker on the nexus thinks its ok to move their mods from standard Skyrim to SSE. They need to have a down vote button so people can at least judge somethings wrong. Not much point in having a separate section if all everyone is going to do is copy and paste everything over.

How do you know they don't work? The Nexus allowed mod authors to "duplicate" their page information so they didn't have to retype everything. I have no idea if they did what they had to do to convert them (as the game has not unlocked for me yet.) But I would think that many of them work. Those that don't will be told quickly enough.

There is quite a lot that will have to be looked at to make a mod work on Skyrim SE. I have had to make adjustments to all my mods mainly because a lot of modder resources have mesh issues in SE.

If people are just re-uploading mods that have not been tested in SE the chances are high that they will have mesh and maybe texture problems.

There seems to be far more foliage now, so you will likely need to test out your mod and remove any excess foliage appearing where it shouldn't.

True but I think Dark0ne made it pretty clear he wasn't going to like a bunch of folks just re-upping mods without testing. I hope he keeps to that. But that does not mean just because a page info is duplicated that it was not tested and fixed.

A valid point, Im seeing some mods I know have been tested, because the authors are part of that rarefied group that gets early access. But, Im also seeing a lot of mods already showing up that clearly have no means of testing or providing QA or anything like that. It's a FFA migrate now- well test if later system(maybe). Steam is locking everyone out till 28th, why couldn't nexus restrict actual FILE uploads till a later time as well?

Well its already started, there was a mod that needed SKSE and some ENBs for one, and you can bet there will be others because its become a race to get your mods up so they get the glory by being the first. im not on about the well known modders, im sure they are fine, its the small time one hit wonders etc.

We've been removing ones we've found, as well as ones people have been reporting.

Thats good to know, but dont you think could have saved a lot of effort by simply limiting prep to page duplication, and restricting actual file uploads till a later date? So far, its only a been a trickle of un-tested, mods, but you can bet come tomorrow, their will a flood of un-tested mods simply C+P'd over. If that occurs, and I wouldn't be surprised, managing something like that will be well impossible.

I think the whole thing is going to be a bit of a mess mate, probably best to let others do the testing before using any unknown authors mods.
