  1. Oh dear...I figured that something was not right with the 'up to 2.7ghz'. She showed me it all after she had brought the laptop, not before. Thanks so much for all your input everyone, much appreciated! I will advise her to send it back.
  2. My aunt went and brought a new Dell Laptop from Amazon. The problem is that it is advertised as a 2.7Ghz CPU, but the machine she received says 1.1Ghz CPU. This is the one she brought... https://www.amazon.co.uk/Dell-Inspiron-3000-Anti-Glare-LED-Backlit-2019-Laptop/dp/B07MBTYC1H/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8 She went for the 'Intel Pentium Silver N5000 Processor (4M Cache, up to 2.7 GHz); Pentium N5000' The laptop she received shows: From the DxDiag.. Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64-bit Language: English (Regional Setting: English) System Manufacturer: Dell Inc. System Model: Inspiron 3582 BIOS: 1.0.2 (type: UEFI) Processor: IntelĀ® PentiumĀ® Silver N5000 CPU @ 1.10GHz (4 CPUs), ~1.1GHz Memory: 8192MB RAM Available OS Memory: 8000MB RAM I haven't even looked at computer specs or buying in years. Should she be sending this thing back?
  3. Very interesting, especially the advice on texturing. :) There are quite a lot of very talented texture artists and 3D modelers that mod TES and Fallout, but don't use and therefore don't understand the Creation Kit. I was surprised to find that out recently.
  4. I am trying to work with the BldWlp walls, in particular the floral textures. I want to modify these wall textures. Problem is that I am confused as to how these textures work. When I open up the BldWallFloralRed01 texture in GIMP this is what I get... http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n99/Shezrie/FloralWallTexture_zps0eix1wp3.jpg This is the texture I am trying to edit... http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n99/Shezrie/FloralPattern_zpsbmrdkhja.jpg I am confused about how this texture and all the interior paint and wall textures are set up and how I can modify them. Is there a tutorial that deals with the interior walls in particular?
  5. Ah that makes sense. 'Generations of the dead' so it is quite reasonable to expect that a lot of the graves would have been spread out from the town and lost over hundreds of years, as the wilderness took over. I imagine that quite a few from the Great War would be buried there as well. That gives me a good lore foundation to build on with my mod, thanks!
  6. I seem to recall reading a long time ago about Falkreath having the largest graveyard in Tamriel and that thousands and thousands are buried there. However I cannot find anything solid on that though, just info on the smallish graveyard that made it into the game. Anyone else recall that? Was Falkreath supposed to be like that? I would suppose that those thousands of graves would still be there surrounding Falkreath, just lost in time and the woods. Any idea who was buried there...maybe just Nords..all warriors? Can anyone point to anywhere with some solid info on the lore of the Falkreath graveyard, please.
  7. Now that I have got the right thread..lol When I saw which mod author it was I knew that there must be a reasonable reason behind the block. RedRocketTV has always, in my experience and dealings, been a calm and friendly individual, not given to over reaction or vindictive behavior in any way. I also need to point out that the OP here keeps saying that RedRocketTV responded with a 'NO', when the fact is that he responded with a simple...'No'. There is a huge difference and I think that the OP is putting their interpretation on it, fueled with the outrage and insult at being blocked and taking personal insult from it. We are not trying to gang up on you OP, just get to the bottom of the situation. You challenged the mod author to explain their personal reasons and motivations for not uploading to Bethesda.net, this may have been interpreted as a demand for an explanation because what they were doing was perceived to be unreasonable. I have had this myself many times, people coming along with a 'well why won't you do this or that..' as though I have to justify myself and my actions and it can get annoying. But really...reflect a bit and consider how you felt and reacted the last time someone called you 'a dick'. Is that someone that you would care to be around.....? I doubt it.
  8. Need a male voice to play a main role in a Skyrim Machinima video. Unpaid as the series is just for fun. Of course credit is given. Here are a few of the Skyrim Paranormal Investigation episodes so you can see what the series is about... Skyrim Paranormal Investigation: The Pale Lady Skyrim Paranormal Investigation: Bard's Leap Summit Your background: You are a scribe from the Imperial City, sent to Skyrim to investigate legends and claims of paranormal activity. You have just arrived in Skyrim to take up the role as scribe to a renowned Researcher known as Galvus. You are star struck with Galvus having read all his notes on his investigations and consider working for such a person as the greatest honor a scribe could aspire too, and so you commence sucking up. In this video the pair will be investigating a haunted inn near Falkreath. There will be quite a few lines as this is a main character and features throughout the what will likely be a 20min video. Sample Lines: 1) 'If I may just say Master Galvus, it is such an honor for me to work with such a personage like yourself, I have read all of your works. Such insight, such theories....in particular I found your work on the Pale Lady to be so fascinating...your theories on her origins and motivations...so inspiring!' 2) 'Yes Master Galvus! I shall get that done straight away!' 3) [scared] I swear it is true Master Galvus. It was a dark shadowy figure that walked right down the hallway and straight into the wall!' 4) 'Erm...did you say something Master Galvus? Something about a sword?' It is very important that you have a decent mic and the audio quality is decent as there is only so much I can do in Audacity.
  9. Got it solved, it was the ini file. I think what happened was that I installed the game and straight away loaded up the CK without loading the game first and having the game set the Video Quality, which may have led (no idea how) to strange multiplication of SResourceArchiveList2, there were four instances of that line in my untouched ini. Not sure what happened there, but uninstalled the Creation Kit and deleted the ini files and then reinstalled the Creation Kit so a brand new ini file was created. Then made the changes necessary to load multiple master files and it works perfectly now. Phew, was starting the think that this project is cursed after troubles with both Skyrim CKs and Steam freezing, which is ironic given that it is about a cursed inn.
  10. Thanks, you are right it is a problem with bsas not loading and therefore my INI file. I have narrowed it down, I can load just Skyrim.esm and everything appears just fine, but when I try to load a mod dependent on DLCs the issue persists. I will see what is going on there.
  11. I installed and tried the SSE Creation kit and got issues with 'memory leaks', then I uninstalled it and installed the Old Skyrim Creation Kit... But it doesn't load cells properly. In exteriors there is only some bare landscape and the odd marker. There are no trees even though they are set to 'on' under 'View'. Buildings only appear as shadowy, ghostly images. No idea what is going on here I am at my wits end, I have never had this problem with the Creation kit. Anyone got any ideas please?
  12. I opted out as all my mods use other peoples voice acting and mod assets, however the 'Mods Rewards Wallet' button still shows in between the 'Settings' and 'Messages' button, is this something that may be removed in future when people opt out?
  13. Some questions as I go about making one of my house mods into an interior settlement: 1) How the heck do you know which items are scrap able with their own already created recipe? 2) The only tutorial I have found on making items not normally scrap able, into scrap able items, commits what I understand to be a huge modding 'no no' in making changes to vanilla items by telling you to add a Display Name by altering the base object. Without this the only way to make a vanilla item scrap able is to make duplicates of all the items by giving the item a unique ID? Any help is much appreciated.
  14. Codworth: Best Survival companion imho. He doesn't need to be stimpak'd so I can just run off and leave him when things get overwhelmingly dangerous and he will just turn up again. He doesn't head back home like the others. Deacon: Recently I started my very first Railroad play through and found Deacon. At first I thought he was just a bit 'weird', but he has been really entertaining and really makes traveling a lot more fun and lighthearted. But he gets right in my line of fire constantly. Paladin Danse: I just had him as companion as I played the Brotherhood in my last play through. That is one 'deep' dude. It took forever to romance him and by the time I got there I didn't want to do it after all. The way he rejects you when you fail at 'flirting'....too harsh ...waaay too harsh. Nick: He was my companion on my first play through. He is good and has an interesting story. Curie: My least favorite. She is boring. Still got to try MacCready and the rest, trying to avoid any info on them in the meantime.
  15. I solved the issue. My mod relied on DLC and those scripts had not been extracted from their zip files. Works fine now.
  16. Thanks for the offer of help, much appreciated! I haven't entered any script, just selecting 'new script' and inputting a new name, then pressing 'okay' results in the error message. It doesn't matter what name I use for the script either so the name is not the problem.
  17. Getting back into Fallout 4 modding and am trying to make a new script and after entering the script name and pressing 'okay', I get this error... A google search on this has not turned up anything of much help. The game's scripts are extracted and sit in the Script folder in my Data folder. Any hep much appreciated. Thanks!
  18. Thank you so much!!!!!! I can finally get on with getting my mod done.
  19. I am trying to do a simple texture swap for a rug. It all shows up nicely in Nifscope, but not in the CK. It has to be an issue with the bgsm and filepaths. What I have right now is... http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n99/Shezrie/Materials_zps1zayayko.jpg The last time I had this trouble it was simply the forward slash...changed it to backslashes and it worked. For this rug nothing seems to work. I have tried... textures/shezrie/rugs/filename and.. shezrie/rugs/filename and... shezrie\rugs\filename and... textures\shezrie\rugs\filename None of it works. I am at a dead end with this. Any help would be much appreciated. I haven't modded Fallout 4 for a year now and I seem to remember that there was a way to remove the bgsm from the nif in nifscope, so that it just works the old fashioned way with the basic textures and not using a material set.
  20. *Squeeee* I won Fallout 3!!! I no longer have it and have wanted it again for years now, so it made my week to see that I won it! Thanks so much Nexus and GOG!!!
  21. That is not true by a long shot. There have been numerous times that youtubers have given the middle finger to mod authors who dare to have a problem with their work being associated with pedo, sexism, outright misinformation about the mod and even nefarious sponsers like G2A. This is far from the first time that youtubers have set their followers on mod authors and as far as I understand there have been incidences where mod authors have quit due to attack by youtubers. That video is uninformed, biased assumptions and misinformation and has just led to more attacking of Tarshana. Another Youtuber trying to capitalize off drama. Once again the comments on that video run rampant with hatred and threats and once again the youtuber cannot be bothered to take responsibility. Agreed.
  22. That would put Nexus in legal peril and open to legal action. Mods use assets from many different sources and many of those sources come with specific terms of use themselves. While copyright owners of assets (meshes/textures/voice acting etc) may allow use in a mod/specific mod, as in it can be downloaded and used in game, they have restrictions on further usage and require things like specific attribution with links etc or plain do not allow use beyond in a particular mod. Setting the default permission to 'Public Domain' is dangerous because everything within a mod will be taken as 'public domain' and distributed as such. When the mod authors do not have the ability to do that on assets that are not their own. Leaving mod authors and Nexus open to legal action. The default setting as it is now 'Do not use' is a safeguard for Nexus. You cannot rely on everyone to set and give correct permissions and having it all set at restricted is sound, legal protection for Nexus and mod authors.
