saurusmaximus
Thanks for the heads up! Edit: Where is it? I'm not seeing it on Steam... Edit:NVM I figured it out. For those who don't know, its on bethesda.net. You'll need an account there to get it.
Boombro
So do old meshes work in the ck? i wanna make some shacks.
TheMastersSon
I can get it to download, pushing the Play button in Steam does absolutely nothing except throw up a brief "preparing to run" message. If Skyrim SE's CK can't be run without connections to Steam and/or Bethesda.net I have zero interest in it. Long live standalone computing imo. :) Also note to game developers: please stop calling Steam a platform. It's a Windows application (and a ridiculously unnecessary middleman), not a platform. SMB92
So do old meshes work in the ck? i wanna make some shacks.Apparently some meshes need some minor fixes in NifSkope but I'm not sure exactly, it was only minor. Anywho, what a day. Melbourne cup and the CK!

dragonchris152
out of curiosity while downloading it, did they fix the dlc loading or do we still have to make the edit?
SMB92
.....And it's Broken :D I mean seriously, 15 minutes in to building my hut and it crashes. And fubars LOD in the area with what I saved. I'm a little scared to use it again until patches. I also wonder if those errors about the animations, and them not working, is intentional. Works fine in old CK and F4 GECK
Boombro
I agree. I just wanted a very, very simple npc like house in riverwood. But it always stops working. I hoped it gets fixed soon. Guess i have to build in the old and port it.
pappywatts
To download the Special Edition CK: 1) Join bethesda.net (if you haven't already): https://account.bethesda.net/en/join2) Go to a page (News/Mods/Community) where Launcher is shown in the upper right-hand corner of screen3) Download and install the Launcher.4) The Creation Kit:Skyrim for SE will be one of the downloads available on the left-hand menu of the Launcher. Its ~70MB in size.Yes did all of the above, downloaded the file , and installed, it lives inside the special edition folder, ran the ckse and an error message," steam .dll file wasn't found please re-install ", have feedback to bethseda support, they obviously didn't double check with steam on the release of the se creation kit...going back to steam skyrim game modded from nexus which is excellent! , i had forgotten how really fugly the original vanilla game was, see y'all in a couple of months or even 2017. Not impressed with freebies from bethseda, too many bean counters in charge. Edited November 1, 2016 by pappywatts
